I love all of the activities they include and that they have an open door policy for the parents. I completely trust them with my kids care.

My daughter attended Tiny Thinkers beginning in December 2020 and remained there through age four, so this review reflects several years of experience rather than a brief enrollment. There were many things I genuinely appreciated about Tiny Thinkers. Ms. Jana, Ms. Delilah, Ms. Alejandra, and many of the teachers in the younger classrooms were incredibly kind, patient, and caring. Ms. Alejandra even helped potty train my daughter, and I will always be grateful for the love and support she showed our family. Those positive experiences are the reason this review is difficult to write. Unfortunately, our experience changed as my daughter got older. Around age four, she cried every day at drop-off. At the time, I assumed it was simply separation anxiety. Even now, over a year later, she still tells me she doesn't want to go back because "Ms. Lupe was mean to me." She brought it up again just yesterday, completely on her own. For context, my daughter is autistic and high-functioning. She is verbal, was successfully potty trained while attending Tiny Thinkers, and did not have significant behavioral issues such as aggression toward staff or other children. Like many young children, she sometimes struggled with transitions and occasionally needed extra patience and emotional support. What concerned me most was how those moments seemed to be handled. I often felt that when she struggled, the response was to remove her from an activity rather than help teach her through it. One example that has stayed with me was when she had difficulty sharing the soccer ball. Instead of being coached through taking turns and learning the expectations of the game, she was simply no longer allowed to participate. I understand preschool teachers manage busy classrooms and difficult situations every day, but I had hoped for a more nurturing, teaching-focused approach. Initially, my daughter attended Tiny Thinkers for part of the day while also attending a public school special day class. When that program changed, we had to find another full-time placement. At the time, it felt incredibly stressful, but looking back it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. She flourished almost immediately after transitioning. She now loves going to school and summer camp, participates happily, has grown tremendously socially and emotionally, and no longer cries at drop-off. Watching that transformation made me reflect differently on our experience and realize she simply needed an environment that was a better fit for how she learns and develops. I know every child is different, and many families may have a wonderful experience here, especially in the younger classrooms. However, if your child is neurodivergent or benefits from additional patience, flexibility, and emotional support, I would encourage you to ask detailed questions about how those needs are handled. I truly wanted to leave another glowing review because there are wonderful teachers at Tiny Thinkers who made a positive impact on our family. But knowing what I know now, I would make a different choice for my daughter, and I hope sharing our experience helps other parents find the environment that's the best fit for their child.

Penny & Peggy Nairn 24 Hour Childcare has honestly been a GODSEND for my kids and me! I'm so…read moregrateful they've been part of our lives! My oldest started attending their Chatsworth location about 4 years ago, and it's been a wonderful experience seeing how attentive, patient, and caring the teachers are. One thing I've always appreciated is that they don't just watch the kids throughout the day. They take the time to engage with them through learning activities, arts and crafts, outdoor playtime, and special events throughout the year. My kids absolutely LOVE their annual Big Boo Festival for Halloween! My son started attending when he was around 6 months old, so it's been amazing watching how much he's grown and learned from his teachers and the other children. He's gone from being a little baby to a toddler who's constantly discovering new things, and it makes me so happy when he comes home showing me something new he's learned! One thing I especially appreciate is that they're open 24 hours! As a working mom of two, my schedule has changed so many times over the years, and they've always been understanding and accommodating. Between working, going to school, and raising my kids, finding childcare that works around my schedule has honestly been a HUGE help. My kids now attend their North Hills location, and I can honestly say they've enjoyed both centers! Something I find really sweet is running into teachers from Chatsworth who still recognize my kids and are amazed by how much they've grown! It's such a nice feeling knowing they remember them and get excited to see how much they've changed. That kind of connection is something I never expected when I first enrolled my daughter, but it's one of the reasons this place has meant so much to us. It really feels like the teachers care about the kids beyond the classroom. I also want to give a HUGE shoutout to all the amazing teachers! Ms. Magaly is absolutely wonderful! She's always making sure my oldest gets help with her homework and has played such a big role in helping her navigate school. She's watched my daughter grow over the years, and I truly appreciate all the patience, encouragement, and support she's given her. I'm so thankful for everything she's done! Ms. Nelly and Ms. Jazmine are also such amazing teachers with the little ones! I appreciate the care, patience, and attention they give the children, especially knowing how much it takes to work with babies and toddlers. At that age, having teachers who guide them through new stages means a lot. Ms. Gabby and Ms. Gloria are just as wonderful! They're so attentive with the kids and always make sure to keep parents informed about anything and everything regarding their children. Communication is so important to me, and I appreciate that they're approachable, willing to answer questions, and make sure parents are updated about their children's day. What I love most about Penny & Peggy Nairn is that it's become so much more than somewhere I drop my kids off while I'm at work. It's a place where they've made memories, built relationships with their teachers, learned new things, and grown up surrounded by familiar faces. It's special knowing some of these teachers have known my children since they were babies and have been there through so many stages of their lives. As a mom, I know how difficult it can be to trust other people with your children, especially when you're juggling so many responsibilities. That's why I appreciate the staff so much. The little things they do, whether it's helping with homework, teaching something new, organizing a fun activity, or simply keeping parents informed, really do make a difference. It really does take a village to raise children, and I'm grateful my kids have had such wonderful teachers be part of their lives. Seeing how much they've grown, learned, and developed over the years means so much to me. To all the teachers and staff at both Chatsworth and North Hills, THANK YOU for everything you do! I know caring for children isn't always easy, and I appreciate the patience, dedication, and effort you put into your work. Your hard work doesn't go unnoticed! I would absolutely recommend Penny & Peggy Nairn to any parent looking for a loving, reliable, flexible, and accommodating childcare provider. They've made balancing motherhood, work, and school so much easier, and I'll always be grateful for the impact they've had on my children's lives!

She offers flexibility with pick up hours for parents that might occasionally have to work past 6:00 and has a part time option since we'll likely be working in more of a hybrid model moving forward. On top of that, she was extremely kind and warm when we did our tour and her daycare is lovely, with lots of toys, activities and a great outdoor play area! Our boy loves the swing in the backyard and starts every day there with a big smile! Our son was born in the pandemic and has basically been attached to me 24/7 his whole life, so I'm very grateful that now he'll hopefully learn a little bit of independence and get to spend time socializing with other kids his age. Susanna has been very understanding of any separation anxiety and sends pictures throughout the day. She's incredibly patient and caring with him when he struggles to nap without me - that continues to be a work in progress, but hopefully he'll continue to improve! Thank you Susanna for taking such good care of our sweet boy and for the incredibly valuable service you provide to families!

About 3 years ago we were looking for new childcare and after touring with Cynthia we knew we found the right spot! One of the things that stood out to me was the beautiful pictures of all the kids she had up in her house, her love for the children, both past and present, was abundantly clear. Cynthia and Ashley go above and beyond to make days special for the kids: lots of wonderful crafts, special water play toys, holiday celebrations, handmade gifts for parents that are priceless... just to name a few things. They are more than childcare... they have become family and I could not recommend them more!

During his time there, he developed his social skills, thrived in the classroom, and enjoyed a variety of activities that were not only rooted in the curriculum but also full of fun. After two wonderful years, we were sad to say goodbye, but we were fortunate to return in 2021 with our daughter. In this loving and nurturing environment, she flourished. We witnessed so many milestones--her first steps, first words, and an adventurous palate that grew with the variety of foods she experienced. After three years, she graduated alongside her cohort, but the friendships she made there are lifelong. Some of the children are even her classmates now in elementary school. Every time she sees Cynthia or Ashley, she runs to hug them because she misses them dearly! We still walk by to say hello, because Peaceful Mind Child Care truly gave us peace of mind.

He talks non-stop and so curious now, they encouraged him talk and really communicate. Potty training was scary as a first time mom of a boy but they made it a flawless teamwork transition.
