Love the store that is all I can say. When I first used to go to Sackville I never knew what this place was until I see the commercial on TV, then I was hooked. Walking into this store I was like I want that and that, just beautiful pieces of furniture different then you average department store and that is what I like. As well they have accessories that just seem to fit each piece that it as must as well. Of course plenty of candles and trinkets that are great for gifts. Even though it is more pricier then your average store it is the quality that you are paying for and will have for a lifetime. read more

Wheaton's is a high-end furniture and decoration store that sells seasonal gifts and furnishings as well. It is the type of store that I can spend less then two minutes in and immediately find ten things that I know my mother would love to have in her home. The style is a little bit country inspired, no modern line and metallic finishes. Everything in sight seems hand carved and signs line the back of the store emblazoned with phrases like "live, laugh, love" and "bless this mess". Although this isn't really my aesthetic, I have gone browsing here many times with my mom, and I always find something I want to take home with me. One time it was quilts, and I almost convinced her to buy me one with a huge sailboat on it. My problem with Wheaton's is the prices. Everything is out of the budget for anyone without two incomes, and as fun as it is to browse it woulds be a lot more fun to buy. I've started to take the same approach as my seven year old sister and run immediately to the educational toy section to play with the 3D puzzles and instruments until it is time to leave, which is fine by the staff. It's a pretty casual environment and they all seem to like kids so don't feel like you have to leave your at home. Stopped into this location to pickup a few Kcups for the new Keurig machine while in Moncton. Plus - it's always fun to browse at Wheatons! Picked up a trivia table top game here as well. Couldn't resist! The women working here were very friendly and set me up to join their frequent shopper points program that I wasn't aware of and can be used at their Nova Scotia locations as well. Spent close to $5000 on dining room table and eight "leather" chairs- that within just over a year had tears and cracks all over each seat. I was told by Wheatons that this happened as a result of them not being conditioned (even after I assured them that they were regularly conditioned - I have other leather furniture in my house) Their reply to me was that they were over a year old so the warranty was over. I am now in process of having them reupholstered, at my expense, and the Upholsterer said that she has never seen anything like this and that the leather is actually a cheap bonded leather and not "leather" as advertised by Wheatons. I have a much cheaper, and much older, dining room chair I purchased at Costco that shows non of the wear and tear that the Wheatons chairs have. I will never purchase another thing from this store. read more

Wheaton's has absolutely excellent quality furniture. My siblings and I purchased a TV stand for my parents for Christmas, and although it was expensive (~$600), it is a beautiful piece. All of the furniture is hand made I believe. I would highly recommend this store if you are shopping for high quality beds, dressers, tables, desks, chairs or any other type of wooden furniture. I should also say that a salesperson named Todd in the Windsor store was SO helpful to us in our search for the perfect piece we wanted to get our parents. He really went above and beyond. It just shows that Wheatons values their customers, which you can't always say about the big box stores. Wheaton's knows how to take care of a customer with seamless satisfaction. I have always enjoyed the atmosphere and fun shopping/browsing in the store. Several years ago I made my first big purchase, a complete living room set in the fabric of my choosing. I had never had such a beautiful set. I loved it! Recently the sofa became undone, I noticed it seemed to be falling. I called the store, Kim hooked me up with their Furniture Medic and to make a long story short, I ended up with a new sofa delivered to my home and no charge!! It is the best experience I have ever had in this type of situation. Honestly I envisioned problems and nothing of the sort. I strongly recommend Wheaton's as a place to browse and to purchase furniture. The pieces are beautiful and they stand behind their products!! AWESOME!! read more
