Usually when people ask me,"Where did you get that?!" The answer is PEDVAC! Then I explain where it is, what it's about and why everyone should make the trip. From my first purchase in 1995: three amazing cardigans, two of which I still wear, to my fuzzy boudoir chair and smoke-stained porthole mirror, to my Betsey Johnson lace shrug, to my copies of the amazing boardgames Ratrace and Personal Preferences to the like-new 1983 GWG denim jacket I scored for my boyfriend and my signed copy of The Zucchini Cookbook. These are a tiny selection of the amazing finds from PEDVAC. Since it's a thrift store, everything is incredibly inexpensive and the money goes to help the community. It's rare to leave with an armload of treasures for more than $5. You can fill a bag of books for $1, and there are bag days where you can fill a bag of clothes for $1 as well! Before you leave PEDVAC, make sure to the craft corner, especially the mittens made of old sweaters! The ladies in the community sew them, and I couldn't recommend them higher! I've worn mine through two winters, even dropping them a few times and they still look brand new! They're durable and they're the warmest mitts I've ever owned! In addition to the wonderful volunteers and the always friendly fellow shoppers, there's usually a wonderful brown and white dog hanging out in the store too. She's wonderful if a little timid. She's a great addition to the best thrift store in the world. At least the best one I've ever been to. I send most of my stuff there when I'm done with it too. What goes around comes around! PEDVAC is a treasure trove in the truest sense of the word.

Finally get a response paid within minutes. Then ....nothing. Finally got a response on the phone and "oh, we'll try to get that out this week". Well only if that's not too much trouble Allen's Auction. What horrible customer service. Just the worst I have seen and I buy online auctions all over the world...literally. Never again will Allens get any business from me.

I won an auction in May of this year. I contacted the business to confirm my charge card number…read moreand to request shipping. I was told that would not be a problem, however I am still waiting for the parcel to arrive. I have called and emailed numerous times but still have no information as to whether the lot was ever shipped. I have asked for a tracking number but that has not been provided. It is frustrating that the company will not aknowledge my attempts to communicate - no return phone calls, no return emails, My advice is buyer beware.
