Able to watch my children grow up and have children of their own while waiting for three burgers. Insanely inept. Typical Memphis.

This place is consistent in their effort to disappoint Me. Whether the dining room is full or not, I always have to wait a long time for the food to be prepared and finally delivered to the table. I expect to wait when the lobby or drive through lines are long but to wait when the place is almost empty is unconscionable. Unless I have an hour to spare for slow food from a fast food restaurant, I would skip the burger. read more

When this location opened up the service was superb. Now it takes forever to get food. I got to the drive thru speaker at 10:21pm and I finally got food at 11:08. I just don't understand!!! There were only 3 cars in front of me as I placed my order. The only good thing is when we got the food the burgers were correct(picky about toppings) but the fries were cold. Things better change or we will lose this location. Hardee's went through the same thing a couple of years ago and now most of them have shut down!! read more

the Cordova lunch is great. as a senior, my appetite is very well served by the kids meal. for $5.49 I get a burger, fries, drink and cookie.I have never had to wait more than 3 or 4 minutes. I find the staff friendly and competent. read more

Extremely slow service multiple items out of stock. This is not the Whataburger I remember. Shake machine down just like McDonald's.

Over rated and over hyped is the most positive comment I can offer about my Whataburger experience. First, if you go through the drive-thru, use the inner lane. I made the mistake of ordering at the outer land, and watch 5 inner lane orders, all placed their orders after me, were fulfilled in short order. It took about 25 minutes before I got my food. My second disappoint was the taste and quality of the food. The meat was very salty, fries tough and cold and the soda was watered down. read more

can't even get a chocolate shake here. been trying for nearly a month. And the one chocolate shake they did get us was just vanilla with a chocolate squirt in it. Didn't change the flavor at all. The food here is ok. The service and efficiencies of the restaurant are horrible. The staff does not seem to communicate to the customers nor do they seem to be concerned how long you wait. I've been here twice and will probably not go back for a long time. The first time, I waited in the drive through for over 40 minutes before asking the cars in front of me to pull up so I could leave. The line was only 14-15 cars deep when I pulled up. The second time I placed an online order and put the time 15 minutes earlier than I planned to arrive. I got there and it was not ready. When they prepared my order, they had to redo it as they did not get it right and I had been waiting 15 minutes which is 30 minutes past the time I requested for the order to be ready. The restaurant needs some serious training for all the employees if it wants to sustain a loyal customer base. The food is just not that overwhelmingly good where customers will wait for 35 minutes for an average fast food burger. read more

Last time that we are coming here. We were eating last night by takeout order. My siblings from California wish to try you guys out comparing with In n Out. We drove in and did not see any customers inside but a few cars though the drive though area. The inside looks like it was closed. So, we got in line though the drive though. That was a big mistake. We waited over 40 minutes to an hour. While we were waiting that we notice customers were going inside the restaurant. They were getting their orders faster than us. Finally, we got our order. My siblings were totally disappointed along with my family. The food was cooked off the target. The food was lukewarm. The burgers n fries had no flavor, and the onion rings were cooked in old oil. The only thing that they got right was the drinks. The quality and control was a failure. They need to go shut down and go back to Texas. I would not recommend or waste my money. read more

Not gonna lie.. their Facebook page admin blocked me because I made a post saying I hope the staff don't screw up making the burgers like all of the U.S. because we all know that Memphis people these days are lazy and it will taste Luke just another burger joint. After waiting in line forever, and finally receiving our order, it turned out to be incorrect. We were missing two of our sandwiches, and They're taking the cheap route by hiring a lot of teenagers, who, unfortunately, don't have the best customer service skills. When I think about slow service I would say it takes 30-45 min to get your food. How about 2 hour wait time at this location. Workers running and playing in the lobby. Boxes piled up inside the lobby. Whataburger Memphis, we have to DO better. Please come and see (Owners) what's happening at this location and provide guidance on how to incorporate better systems. Good gracious this place is slow! Plan on at least an hour to get through the line. Although the line wasn't particularly long, it look 58 minutes from the speaker box to food being in hand. We left this location and while we were in line, a customer that had just finished walked by us and said "this Whataburger gets two thumbs down". We decided to try whataburger in Cordova and it was a nightmare. Not only did we wait 45 minutes in line only to get the food but they left the kids meal off so I had thought. I go inside wait another 15 minutes to get the kids meal to drive 15 mins home to realize I had the kids meal the whole time they left my husband's meal off so he had a kids meal for dinner. When I was inside I notice there are like 20 plus ppl working so the orders should be correct. I say that because when I was waiting on my second kids meal like 6 other ppl came in with the wrong orders given to them. They really need to evaluate how they are running the kitchen and drive thru. I feel even if you have to wait it's fine but making ppl wait and the order is wrong is crazy. Whataburger??... let's talk about Whatawait.... No joke the wife and I waited over an hour in the drive thru to get some cold food. FYI the left lane of the drive thru moves faster due to the poor design. Some poor employee (one person) is required to take the entire right lanes payment and bring them their food. You can see them struggling to bring out 4 drinks and 4 bags of food every 15 minutes, and then try and discern what food and drink is yours. Terrible set up, terrible timing, terrible cold food. I feel for the employees. Managers, I have some advice. If you're gonna run two lanes in the drive thru take the time to study how Chick-fil-A does it.... iPads with payment capabilities and multiple people taking orders. At least the wife and I can accurately say we didn't eat "fast food" for dinner last night. read more

I have been to this location twice now around 10:00am. When I say this is the reason I only eat chicfila when I eat fast food. This is prime example why. I have been waiting in drive through with barely any cars in the line for almost an hour both times. All I ordered was a honey butter chicken biscuit both times. Ridiculous. They need some better management at this location because no reason it should take this long for anybody to get their food. The worst service and food. Once you get stuck in the non moving line due to workers hanging out and talking you cannot leave. The cars I entered the parking lot with split into a separate line were gone with their food in 20 minutes, but I was stuck in the 40 minute line. The food was cold by the time we received it and not even tasting good. I will only go to WayBack Burger from now on. read more
