I tried this place for the first time, and I will definitely return. The service was fast and polite. Albeit, I visited mid-afternoon on a weekday. I was allowed to fully customize my burger. It was perfectly cooked and quite delicious. The dining area was acceptably clean. I liked that my meal was delivered to me at my table. Next time, I'll have to try some other items from their menu. I definitely recommend their burger. read more

From my travels in Texas, I was very familiar with Whataburger. So, a few months after this location opened, I went there for breakfast. The lady at the counter was so rude to the customer in front of me that I walked out and never went back. Recently, I heard someone raving about the food and service. Also, I noticed the number of vehicles in the drive-thru and parking lot increasing. So, I decided to give them another try and I was DELIGHTED! First off, Lajayla (Cashier/Server) provided EXCEPTIONAL customer service and the food was delicious! The restaurant was very clean, including the drink dispenser and surrounding area. Today's experience was a complete reversal from that first one. Kudos to the management and staffing, I will DEFINITELY be a regular!!! read more

I didn't order any food from Whataburger. I just got a cup of water, to my surprise I didn't have to pay for. The young lady who took my order in the drive-thru was very pleasant. It was nice to hear someone on the speaker who was friendly. The vibe was nice and the young lady who near working the drive-thru was really nice and professional. read more

My, how our tastes (and tolerances) change as we age! The service at this location has greatly improved over when it opened, but..this chain was always comfort food - and still is - nothing more. read more

A friend and I went to this Whataburger location for a quick bite. We went through the drive-thru. It took about five minutes for someone to acknowledge us. After that, we waited about another five minutes for our food to be ready. My friend ordered buffalo wings and fries. I ordered the Sweet and Spicy Bacon Burger and fries. The fries were nothing special, to be honest. The fries definitely needed more seasoning. The Sweet and Spicy Burger was good. I did like the sauce they used for the burger. I would have rated my experiences a three just for the burger, but the services knock it down to a two. read more

Horrible customer service and Food. You're gonna wait 30 minutes for four piece nugget and a hamburger needs to be closed down.

4/17 8::15 P.M food is cold and old. Never will return. Chocolate shake was good. Top bun is hard and old.

You're better off driving to another what's burger down the street. You'll get your food faster that way.

In a rush hold up be cool preparing to wait be chill patiently waiting Full line fully crowded fresh food Short line turned to to long line Cool friendly cashier cool vibes My kids loved the FRIES! read more

The food is great for fast food! Dining in was nice the music was a good neutral jam from modern pop to old-school rock. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming!! The employees worked very well together & waitresses were very polite patient along informative all of the food ordered today came out awesome, well proportioned, prepared, and well presented, and beyond fair pricing read more

For being out of town person I will return to this location. All 13 of my family members had to visit this location and it was great. The girl from the register she was supper friendly has great costumer service and lots of patience. Thank you so much. Food was freshly made and location was super clean. read more

Waited in the drive thru for about ten minutes with only one person ahead of us and clearly nothing happening. We opted to bail and go to Chic Fil A and based on these reviews it looks like we made the right call. I'm genuinely curious, not saying this with hostility- how does this place stay open? The awful service must hurt business, right? Anyway, just echoing what almost everyone is saying: don't bother. read more

Should be called "WhataWait". 4pm - Walked inside and ordered a burger, just a burger, exactly as described on the menu- nothing else...just a BURGER. Wait time from payment to receipt of a burger: 14 minutes!!! It was dressed better than other burger chains (the 14 minute wait blocked my use of the word "fast" food). BUT the quantity of meat would suggest this was barely more than a slider that had been driven over. Done - no mo WaB funding from me or my peeps. read more

I gave this rating because I didn't like the food. I had a regular burger and fries. It was my 2nd time trying Whataburger, and my reaction is the same. It is a thumbs down for me, but I understand that others love it. I was greeted upon entry. The cashier smiled when taking my order. The wait wasn't long. My order was correct and walked over to me. It's a nice establishment, I just do not like the food. read more

I finally saw a short line, so we had to try it. The order process is similar to Chick-fil-A. Two people with tablets taking orders and payments outside. No inside dining is available at this time. They were really accommodating for my vegetarian needs. The staff was friendly and the line moved fairly fast. The only downside was that I saw the menu after I ordered so I missed out on some things I would have loved to try. The food was hot and tasted very similar to the Jackson MS location. We will be back. read more

Waited 45 minutes for food inside. People before us were waiting longer and still only had their drinks which ofc they made themselves just by being handed a cup. The workers are on what.....fent and her'n? Barely moving. I don't get it. Had to get a refund from the manager and went next door to Dairy Queen. Sauce all over the floor. read more

This location is coming soon. At the time of this posting, the framework of the building has just been laid. It's Update: I initially added a review months ago because someone added it on Yelp before they officially opened. Now I have experienced it and I wasn't impressed. I live about a mile away and have seen & heard about all the hullabaloo, with long lines etc. Since i had the burgers before, I figured I'd try out the breakfast since it appeared that only 4 cars were ahead of me in the drive thru line before 7am. So, considering the 2 months of training they had before opening, surely this wouldn't take long. Wrong. 30 minutes later, I was presented with my food. After also waiting 6 minutes after paying. (I think they started on my food after I paid). Anyway, I assumed the honey chicken biscuit would be larger and perhaps have some premium quality, considering the price. But it was kinda tiny. It was tasty though. My husband did not like the taquito (that resembled other restaurants' burritos since it wasn't fried). I thought it was ok. The cinnamon rolls were pleasing. Nothing over the top good. But better than average. My husband and other friends reminded me that this is called WhatABURGER and I should've known better. Ok, I'll go back in another month or so once they work out their kinks. read more

The way I wish I could give zero stars. The first time I've ever been visually assaulted by an employee at this location. After waiting 10-15 mins without hearing a thing from anyone, I'm greeted by being told I'd have to wait 15 mins. When I tried to ask why they wouldn't just say that when I pulled up instead of letting me (and several other cars) wait all that time, I was interrupted with attitude. Then she went to the next speaker before I could order, knowing I was trying to order. Then when I pulled off, she flipped me off with both her hands. Just absolutely egregious behavior from a BOTTOM TIER employee. Y'all can do better than that. Went to McDonald's right down the street and received great customer service. Just cuz whataburger is new doesn't mean it's better. Unfortunately I won't be returning to this or any other whataburger again. To anyone reading ITS NOT WORTH IT. read more

Food at Whataburger is good, so this review is mainly about this location. Reason for 1 star is the poor service and extremely slow service. Ordered an iced coffee for curbside, got here and checked in and waited 15 minutes and they still managed to get the order wrong. Meanwhile 2 other cars have come and gone. read more

The Whataburger of old is no more, the thing that used to make these hamburgers great is no more. They used to have better garnishes, mustard, mayonnaise, shredded lettuce, chopped green onions and tomato slices on a toasted bun. You could taste the green onion and tomato. The old Whataburger sold out and is not the same. This is not a bad hamburger, it is just not the burger people remember. Service is slow, a double meat burger, fries and coke is $11.25. read more

@whataburger I finally got my taste! This is a great burger spot. This was my second time! So I tried a #doublecheeseburger no tomatoes and l tried it with onion rings and a vanilla-shake. Awesome service great to have them in Memphis. @yelpmemphis @foodnetwork read more

My wife and I were in the drive-thru for 1 hour to get our food. Beware that you will have to wait at least an hour in the drive-thru, and it is hard to leave the line once you enter it. I hope this gets better over time. The food isn't as good as I remembered. The burger tasted like a Sonic burger, which is not that good. The fries were nothing special. The shake and the onion rings were delicious, however. I also liked their pepper sauce and their spicy ketchup. read more

Okay. I'm going to be as honest and polite as I can about my experience. First of all, I'm from Texas. I ate at Whataburger all the time. It was what it was...a burger joint. As of late I have seen people begging and pleading for Whataburger to come BACK to Memphis. I avoided the line the first several weeks. As people were going nuts with the hype; "waited in line for over two hours and it was SO worth the wait!" and "waited in line for over an hour, but this Texas boy was thrilled to get the best burger there is." I'm not sure what drugs these two happened to be on, but Whataburger, being pretty darn good, was not the best burger joint in Texas and not the best here. The burger was decent. Nothing to complain about, but also nothing to go this insane over either. I'm glad we waited a few weeks. Went through the drive-thru the other day in under 11 minutes. Burgers were good. Really good, but NOT near the hype that people have built them up to be. What I did notice was that Whataburger has made massive improvements on, however, is their fries. As far as "fast food" fries go, it's hard to top McDonald's (when they get theirs right). Well, I knew the second I pulled them out of the bag, Whataburger was going after McDonald's. The new fries were almost, spot on, the exact same as McDonald's fries. All in all, people in the Mid-South should be thrilled to have Whataburger back after leaving the area over 30 years ago. But don't listen to the hype. If you get caught up in all the smoke everyone is trying to blow up your back side, you're going to be disappointed. If you go in with no expectations, then you should be pleasantly surprised. Make sure to get the specialty ketchups, as well. Decide which one is going to be your "go to". I hated to say anything negative about Whataburger, and I actually haven't. Instead I'm just pointing out that people need to ease up on the hype. I thought maybe Whataburger had done some insane improvements on their new locations, when all they've done (really) is just stepped up their game on their fries. Go there, enjoy the food, you'll love it. Especially if you don't read some of these insane reviews. read more

Sad :( The burgers were big yes, but not tasty at all. Nothing like in Texas or Midwest. Cookout has was better burgers for fast-food compared to this location. They forgot our Onion Rings and sauces, no napkins and the sprite tasted like the syrup was out, just carbonated water but not even the good kind. The staff you actually talk to (taking your order, cashing you out, and giving you your food) was super nice though! Only good thing to say was the staff that I interacted with. Big sad :( read more

Very hit or miss, their burgers are extremely good but they screw up every other order. It goes from a 9.2/10 to a 3/10 depending on how bad they screwed up read more

The service here is slow to put it nicely. We had one car in front of us at the drive thru and it took 12 minutes once we got to the speaker for some to take our order. you gotta remind these folks about your order cause if you don't then they'll take they sweet time serving you, they'll serve another person that has ordered after you, and worse of all, it's full of venezuelans now, so its hard to communicate with their lack of english, so i'll never come back to this place ever again, waste your money at another whataburger down the street or another food joint, this place isn't it. read more

Pulled up today and 10:30am to the speaker to order. She had me wait about 5 minutes before I placed my order. Then it took 15 minutes to get my food albeit a Luke warm Jalapeño cheese burger. Wheresmyburger took the fast outta fast food. The one down in Southaven isn't any better. I can't believe the corporate people are happy with their venture to the mid-south. Food and service is very lackluster. My advice choose another burger option..... read more

Lately my Whataburger experiences have been going one of two ways: either "Wow, this is a great burger" or "I'm never coming back again." Wish they could find their groove. These burgers are really good when made correctly. Going back tomorrow for a refund because a 3 a.m. burger run turned into a 4 a.m. homecoming with the wrong order $25 later. Yikes. Note: I have seen one of the male managers at the Macon Road location really trying to whip these employees (mostly kids) into shape. Flat out told one younger male employee to his face "Hey- you don't care about your job" and to get his act together. Hope for the future? read more

-Food is ok if prepared correctly, nothing to go crazy about (the burgers are kind of bland if you ask me). -Most of the employees lack a sense of urgency. -Employees walk around clueless and ignore the counter while customers have been waiting to place their orders. -Be prepared to wait at least 15-30 mins before you receive your order (even when they're not busy). read more

Oh the food was delicious. It didn't even taste that bad coming back out of my mouth an hour later. I never get sick... I wasn't sick... I eat fast food almost every day.
