Adorable store with lots of interesting items - super dog-friendly with an extensive dog treats section. Good sale on summer T-shirts.

The service is excellent. Very warm and welcoming. They have great merchandise. Very cute and affordable clothes for women. The very best place in Chelan to buy swimsuits. For the past five years Whaley's General Store is the only place I buy my summer sandals they have a great selection. Also dog toys, treats, beds and accessories. It's a nice little general store. They have a little bit of everything. Coffee beans, fudge and candies, homemade dog treats, hams and jelly's and even t-shirts and hats. We stop in every time we visit the area. read more

Very old school, very small department store. I'm giving them 5 stars bc they have a REALLY great selection of good-quality pet supplies--toys, treats, collars, leashes, coats, you name it! AND somehow there is no other pet store in the area. (All for Paws is a grooming place that might?) read more

What a cute store! This shop mostly carries womens' clothing and accessories, but there is a decent-sized area devoted to baby and toddler clothing and gifts, and what I loved most was the large selection of merchandise for dogs! They had a wide variety of collars and leashes (some quite high end, from Australia, in all sizes and colors and motifs), and toys and treats and accessories. We love our dogs! Many of the dog items here were unique, as I've not seen them elsewhere or heard of these brands. There is a lot of womens' jewelry here, too, and clothing. There were quite a lot of bathing suits on display when I was recently here (what with summer season supposedly around the corner!), and many were nice. All appeared high-end and designer. Handbags, scarves, and more jewelry. I had fun browsing about. It was a little odd that the store clerk (perhaps she was the store manager) was on the phone the entire time we were there and didn't pay us any heed (not sure if it was a personal call, too, as she was talking about a real estate agent in the past, I think in Arizona, who stole her identity, and it went on and on, and how she refuses to give out any personal info any longer, etc.). We weren't asked if she could help us at all, and didn't greet us or say bye when we left. My husband was a little put out by that but I didn't mind, as I like to explore shops on my own and I assumed this lady was taking a prolonged business call. It just might be prudent to get another sales lady/guy there who can address and work with customers in the store so another employee can deal with phone calls. Minor issue here, but it left an impression. All in all, this was a cute shop with a lot of cool clothing and dog stuff! read more

We visited Whaleys this afternoon and we were so discussed by the customer service. We had items in hand to purchace--one of those items was a toy truck my daughter was pushing around the store (which were displayed right at the entrance). The totally unprofessional sales person took the toy truck form my daughter and put it back the shelf. What? I asked her if she was hurting the toy and the sales associate said..."we have had toys broken before". (mind you...it was plastic dump truck--that I doubt an adult could damage) My husband and I decided right way that we were not going to purchase any items and that the store just lost at least a couple hundred dollars of merchandise sales...If she had a n issue I wish she would have addressed me and not my 2 year old daughter. I feel sorry for the owners of this store--I hope that they realize that they have a total idiot for an employee. Sorry Whaleys have lost our business! Not even worth the 1 STAR!!!!! read more
