At the other stores, I practically had to fight off the sales associates, while at Wayside Mark gave me plenty of space. I place a high value on that; I hate the "used cars salesman" spiel you get at most places. None of that here! Delivery was free. (We did tip, though, which I think is polite & fair.) The guys arrived on time and were very friendly & efficient (in and out in under 12 minutes total! wow!). After they left, I realized the bed was too high because I hadn't considered the height of the boxspring... whoops. I called Mark at Wayside, and he had it straightened out in a jiffy. They delivered the low profile boxspring & took back the high one. We have a lot of furniture we need to buy still; I plan on visiting Wayside regularly, and I would highly recommend them. Don't let the outside look of the building fool you! It's kind of like a hidden treasure... Part of me doesn't even want to post this review because I want to keep the secret... but quality work deserves public praise, IMO.

So I left new London store and drove all the way to taftville, got off the exit and the store called me saying they didn't have it in stock. This is where I started getting pissed, they told me the couch will be delivered within a week without a delivery charge, and proceeded to tell me the recliner won't be for another 6 weeks. Ok that's fine because I can deal with that. I got the couch delivered on time, but six weeks comes around and still no recliner. We are on week 10 now I get an email saying it's ready for pickup in the taftville store, so I call them and tell them I was promised it will be delivered. They transferred my call back to the new London store just to tell me if I want it delivered it will be another 10 weeks, so that would be a total of 20 weeks! Umm excuse me I don't think so, I told them to just refund my card because I'm done. I will never do business with bob's furniture again!!

That's why it took me three times driving by the building to figure out the entrance was noise in the back. To their credit they have a chalkboard sign in the front corner saying they moved. But in the sunlight and the sign being a little dark it was hard to notice. So we finally found the store. They share Parking lot with the next door laundry place. There are reserved spots for laundry patrons but I noticed that some of them were parking in the other spots next to the store so it was a little hard for parking. Going inside the set up was more warehouse styled. They had a few nice things but nothing resembling the pictures posted previously by others. Pictures and reviews are what led us to find the place. But we were disappointed to say the least.

Great customer service from Max…read more I came in a couple weeks ago looking to upsize my mattress and had a good idea of what I wanted to try out. Max greeted us at the door with a very level and receptive attitude and listened to what I was after. He didn't try to push any products on me, but rather guided and helped me come to my own conclusion with patience. When asked for his input, he provided personal anecdotes that came from a place of experience, rather than bias, and was personable in conversation when asked about himself. All in all, I walked out with a new mattress on my own volition instead of feeling that I was convinced to buy something I didn't want, or that I was just another source of commission - as many sales representatives can do. If you go there and want a stress-free experience, seek him out.

Within that space, it's well-organized enough that if you're looking for one thing, you can be in and out fairly efficiently. You will find clothing (looked quirky, which I now regret not exploring -- my sizing's so unusual that it'd be a lot of digging), costume jewelry, fashion dolls and small toys, movies, basic stuff like power cords, and a few dishes and decorative items. Don't look for furniture, small appliances, or larger toys. Don't bring your entire book club -- they won't all fit in the store at once. Do bring cash, since the prices are so low. I'd been thinking about milk-glass hen-on-nest casseroles and behold! There was a small one. Since it's unmarked, there's decent odds it's a Walmart repro or something, but it was $1, and everything's beautiful when it's $1. So it's that kind of store. I would hit it up on future trips.
