The front staff was very welcoming and helpful during our first lesson. I love that the pool is warmed. It made him entering the pool so much easier. The small free play area for before and after the lesson is amazing for a fun and continued water exposure. The lessons are only 20 minutes which is can be nice for younger learners but also a challenge when we are constantly having to build a relationship with a new teacher. We are enrolled in the semi private lessons (1 teacher 2 kids). The first lesson we had was with Jose. He did a great job going at my son's pace and getting him comfortable with the water and trying to build a rapport with him. Unfortunately the following week he was not available so we took a lesson with Fransisco. It took 15 of the 20 minutes for my son to warm up. Fransisco D firmly told me I need to be consistent and sign up for the same teacher every week. I had multiple cancellations before finally getting our third lesson which went well. Due to availability again I gave up being consistent with the teachers my son had met so far and signed up with Toni who had fantastic reviews only for her to cancel the morning of. I understand life happens but it's frustrating when Waterworks tells me I need to be consistent with teachers but makes it's difficult to do so. I'm hopeful that we will find a teacher who can be consistent for my son.

Coach Jonas is very warm and welcoming, yet he projects his voice so that the students can still hear him if their heads are under water. At first I was scared how my daughter would react to him since he is a male teacher. However, as soon as she jumped into the water and they started to get to know each other, she was all smiles and ready to learn with him. Like I said before, Coach Jonas is very warm and welcoming. He's not there just to level up his students as soon as possible. He makes sure the children have the proper arm and breathing techniques so they are set for success when swimming. Look no further, Coach Jonas is the instructor to get your child going places in the water.

My wife and I had always wanted to start our son in swim lessons early as we both come from a…read moreswimming/water polo background. We toured some other facilities but we really enjoyed the small vibe of AVAC. Not to mention my wife was able to get a barnacles class with the other moms from her New Mom School into one class for the babies. After barnacles we moved our son into the starfish class with Miss Kristina had he has loved it. He loves going every week and playing in the water and he's definitely gotten a lot more comfortable being in the pool. We've now been able to take him to our local cabana pool as well as a hotel pool and he's been great. I couldn't recommend the beginner swim class enough to get your kids comfortable with being in a pool. Once we are able to figure out his daycare schedule, we will be back for more classes in teh afternoon!

We are not members of the Brighton Square Pool but have many friends who are. When it came time to look for summer swimming lessons it was an easy choice for us to chose Brighton. The pool and the area around it was always clean. I was able to relax and enjoy watching my daughter swim. My son did not take lessons but was able to go with me and entertain himself with the tetherball and pin pong table while he waited. The lessons themselves were awesome too. We had a young man named Johnathon whom my daughter adored. He was so good for her. He right on target at picking up on my daughters abilities and needs of improvement during the first lesson. He was a great teacher and was also able to be playful in his lessons to make it more interesting. Crystal Kurotori was super friendly and informative too. Over all the entire crew was great. We would definitely return for and recommend the facility for lessons.

I found that the British Swim School teaching method is more effective than the previous swim school we attended. I noticed that my son was learning really quickly and was already floating on his back independently by the 2nd or 3rd class. Within the span of 7 months, he's already moved up to the next two levels, which is quite impressive. Their makeup policy is also very flexible, which makes it really convenient for parents.
