Established in 1993.

Firmly established. Proven results. WEVAS® is a required course for Educational Assistants who work in Manitoba School Divisions. Created and Designed by Psychologists. Since 1993, people have been WEVAS® trained across fields of Education, Health, Family Services, Justice, and other public and private sectors (e.g., child care settings, group home staff, disability services staff, human resources personnel, managers, administrators, police officers, volunteers, Indigenous organizations, newcomers). WEVAS® courses have been offered across Canada and the USA by certified Facilitators.

Meet the Business Owner: Michelle B.

Michelle (she/her/elle) Clinical Director / CEO, WEVAS® Facilitator Trainer since 2014. Masters degree in Applied Developmental Psychology, University of Guelph (1994). Psychologist for many school divisions across Manitoba for 30+ years. Psychology Consultant for Manitoba Education: supervised psychologists, Specialist for Emotional Behavioural Disorders (EBD), Instructor of WEVAS® at the University of Winnipeg’s Continuing Education department. Served on Manitoba Association of School Psychologists (MASP) executive board since 1999. Read and reflected deeply in areas of racism, Indigenous education, Truth and Reconciliation, spirituality and developed practice to reflect this, she still has a lot to learn. Makes mistakes and works to improve, turning fear into love. Believes that we are all unified in the spirit of love, happiness and peace and her purpose is linked to reconnecting and healing.
