I had already checked the price of the part necessary to fix my dishwasher,…read morewhich was about $75, when I contacted VL appliance through Yelp. VL told me the part would have to be ordered specially (although it is actually available, off the shelf from two local sources) and they quoted nearly $300 more than the actual cost of the part. After this review was sent in, someone from VL contacted me, and sent a link to the part which they were quoting. The price they gave was right for the part, but it was the wrong part (by this point, the correct part has been acquired and installed), and would not work for my dishwasher. So there are three possibilities: 1) It was a simple mistake (if VL double-checked before creating a quote, the problem would have been avoided) 2) VL is incompetent at finding and installing the right part 3) VL was going to install the correct, cheaper part and charge me for the wrong, expensive part Obviously I don't know which of the scenarios is correct, but even the first one, simple human error, unchecked, might disqualify VL from being the repair service of choice. I hope that was indeed the cause of the error, and that VL will do better in the future. Brian Ellis brianellis@mts.net

This place is HUGE, warehouse huge. Every time I am in this place I spend at least an hour looking…read morethrough the enormous amount of fabric. Something I've come to appreciate about this place is that they have signs with fabric type written over every gigantic section. I only gave this place 3 stars because the service is hit or miss (usually miss)... it's usually a lot better if you're dealing with someone in their 20's (in my personal experience). Also the prices are not always attached to fabric bolts, that wouldn't necessarily be a problem if I didn't already dislike interacting with the people who work here. It's rare to find trendy fabric here (the way you will at Fabricland) but they have classics and basics at extremely fair prices (and you don't even have to have a membership).

Definitely worth the drive! The store was clean, well-organized, and had great displays of different projects on the walls. And unlike some other stores, there is room to move around and they even have shopping carts (a rare find in fabric stores). Great selection of fabrics and surprisingly great/lower prices. On top of all this, the customer service was incredible! We were greeted upon arrival, had our fabrics carried for us to the cutting table and were helped by several different staff and the manager (who spent a considerable amount of time with us)-- Incredible customer service--retail stores could learn a lot from this crew! Overall, a 5-star experience. I will definitely be a returning customer.
