Need to decorate your pad?…read more Just come here. Seriously this is a gigantic Winners and Homesense all-in-one location at the Place Versailles mall, literally steps away from Radisson metro station. Like all Winners and Homesense, it can be hit or miss but I've walked away with more hits than misses at this particular location. You'll find all sorts of unique items for your home if you like to decorate like I do. Recipe books, rugs, olive wood cutting boards, vanity mirrors, hand-blown glass vases from Poland, you'll find all of that here and much more. I think because this location is farther away from the city center, it seems to stock better stuff. Not a big deal. If you're on the metro, it is about 20 minutes from downtown, but keep your ear buds on or read a book and you'll be here in no time. Also, if you like picking up and collecting quality recipe books, this Homesense is the best place for it. I have picked up classics like the 2 volume boxed set of "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" by Julia Child, the classic of Italian cooking "The Silver Spoon", "The Gourmet Cookbook Vol. I and II", all of it in hardcover and for a fraction of what you would pay for them anywhere else. The Julia Child set I often see online for $60+. I picked it up here for $30. It's always worth stopping here and looking because stock changes all the time here and you'd be very surprised what you'll find.

We had been on a lookout for a perfect dining table for months but nothing stood out to us as much as the styles at Artemano. Finally, we settled on our favourite design and purchased our dream table! Also, if you are a fan of eastern motifs and designs, you are sure to find many accessories to suit that style here. The customer service and help is excellent in store, definitely worth checking out if you are in the area

Sure, it is expensive, but the pieces are well worth it if you can afford it. The service is great and friendly, taking the time to explain what kind of wood is used and the technique that is used. It was like walking into some pinterest version of my dream home. Giftwares for the whimsical, light and airy, modern-bohemian-hipster person in your life (or yourself), this store had so much that I would want, including the serving bowl size versions of the dish set I already own. Below, a taste: *door transformed into mail sorting artwork *hooks and drawer pulls, a plenty *bright - but not overly modern bright - coloured throw pillows *kitchen gadgets *glass decanters for the mid century fiends *table lamp with a bird on a branch as the stand *table linens in subdued patterns Downside - finding out it's mostly made in China stuff. But, then again, it also is reasonably priced, which makes it a better version of Anthropologie in my books.

Slate is definitely one of those stores. I stopped in on Christmas Eve just to browse around and I wish I could have bought everything in the place! It is a pretty hipster little store, and everything inside would be both useful to have in your home and serve as a conversation starter with guests. The items are unique, interesting, and high quality. There are kitchen gadgets, bar cart fixings, home decor items, greeting cards, jewelry...the list goes on.
