Along with have a beautiful gazebo, bathroom facilities and some green space, it also has a cute playground area. One very nice touch: The playground is fenced in, with a gate that latches. While you should obviously keep an eye on your kids, this fence makes me at least feel a bit better about letting my son run around in this area when he gets a bit older. In the meantime, we enjoyed the swings. It has one bucket swing, which was great for us. The biggest portion of this area is taken up by a playset that kids can hang, climb and slide on. Benches surround the area, making it great to find a spot to sit and relax while kids play. I would have taken photos, but the area was full of kiddos when I was there this week -- a good indication that this is a good area to play in. The Highlands neighborhood boasts several great parks, and Willow Park is definitely one of them. Don't overlook it when you're making your way around the neighborhood and crave some fresh air.

We were able to park close to the pavilion, and it has one of the best playgrounds for a small park -- so much for my daughter and the other kids to explore, with various pieces appropriate for different age levels. Some kids climbed and went down slides, while others played food stand in the area under the playset. The entire play area was enclosed in a way that made it easy to keep an eye on kids, while sitting on nearby benches. And then at the appropriate time, everyone went into the pavilion that's right next to the play area for cake. Everything is close, but there's still plenty of room for kids to run and play. The bathrooms at this park were also clean and well maintained. Brown Park is not too far from my daughter's day care. I hope we can stop here to play throughout the summer.
