I needed to have 3 molars extracted, well 4 but that's in a couple of weeks. I was very nervous. The care and concern of the doctor and the dental assistant was above par. My tooth was so infected that the antiseptic was not holding long enough for them to pull the third tooth without being in pain. They worked with me and maid it painless. I appreciate the office staff talking to me and the great care I received. They were not my first choice due to reviews but they were They only one in my network accepting new clients. Couldn't be happier with there care. This community of dental professionals has won me over and they are awesome. I would highly recommend them for any dental needs. I would rather tear out every single remaining tooth in my head by hand then EVER go back to his office.

We were patients for about 5 years. in June of last year, I contacted their office by phone to cancel all our family appointments for the rest of the year as we were changing insurance providers, and the new coverage would not be in effect until the following January. Then out-of-the-blue in the fall, I received an automated call that "demanded I pay my outstanding balance or our appointment for my son would be canceled". I contacted the office and was told they charged us $50 for a missed appointment. Wait a minute...I explained we canceled all future dates for the remainder of the year, months ago. Apparently someone on their end 'forgot' to remove one when we had mass-canceled, and now were being billed for a missed appointment--their error. I went back and forth with office person Leeann by phone and emails. In each, she was rude, refused to reason or admit to any mistake on their part. I even asked her more than once; what reason would we have to cancel all future upcoming appointments EXCEPT the one in question--she could not or refused to understand--and would rather hold firm and collect the fabricated $50 charge than admit to THEIR error. She then tried to "guilt' me saying she would "do me a favor" and remove the charge. Favor? It was their scheduling error to begin with. What I expected and never received was an apology-- not a "favor". I suppose her attempt for money grab--coupled with her apparent need to 'win"-- was far more important to her than the long-customer loyalty we had with them. In fact, after all that, when we made the decision to change dentists, we even had a problem with her forwarding our dental records to be transferred to our new dentist--which she claims she forwarded--and our new dentist never received until after a couple more phone conversations to finally get that done. We never received an apology from her or the office. (not that I believe it would have been sincere anyway). Sad, really, that the lifetime future value of our family is lost to them over a rude, unprofessional and immature office helper--so entrenched on 'winning' over a $50 billing-- a billing that we never owed in the first place. Again, the hygienists and dentists were always very nice--this is not about them, but rather about the 'face' of the firm-- a front-of-house hired help that apparently does not understand the concept of customer life-time value. Oh well...

I went in for a cleaning, xray, general exam and was in and out in 30 minutes. When I didn't have insurance, I had a cracked tooth pulled for $180. It felt like I didn't get enough anesthetic, but I sure felt better when the tooth was gone. Later, I had a gum infection, and after a $55 visit, I was given a few shots and a prescription that worked great. The office is new, comfortable, and definitely the place to try if you hate or tend to avoid the dentist.

I recently had to have a smile tooth extracted, and for as awful as that experience is, Dr Balog and Shelly made it as smooth and painless as possible. He has done 3 crowns for me and he can do another any time it is needed. My ex husband (world's biggest child at times) didn't go to the dentist for over 13 years. Yes, I stopped kissing him at year 8 and he still let his fear keep him away another 5 rears. But when he finally was forced to go to Dr. Valentine, he got his mouth problems fixed in 2 visits. He even started coming every 6 months and now drives down from Garden City. Office staff is professional and friendly. They are busy so you might have to wait for your 1st appointment but it is worth it.

Delta requires "pre-authorization" before they will pay their portion--so I was very adamant that they get that before doing any work. I had payment issues with them prior to the visit. It took multiple phone calls, but finally they were able to get authorization and begin. I paid cash for my 50% and thought that the transaction was over. Much later I was notified by Dr. Johnson's office that Delta denied my claim because I didn't get "pre-authorization". When I told them how adamant I was that they get the pre-authorization prior to doing the work she told me she remembered being there that day. I told her to call Delta, pull the phone records and tell them that they in fact did authorize the work. She said "sorry--the phone records were lost in a fire they had at the office"! I'm thinking--"so call the phone company?". I refused to pay and Dr. Johnson actually asked me if I was going to screw him over. I said no--looks like you are going to screw me over. Now my account is in collections--farmed out to some collection agency and impacting my credit score. Needless to say he lacks any level of a customer-focused approach. He lost a boat load of future work over a few hundred dollars.

They offer you a dental programs i foolishly signed up for $49 a month. The program only helps if you already have perfect teeth. The pricing is outrageous. The first time I was seen for just a consult I was charged $349. For a consult. Everytime they would quote me a price on an upcoming procedure when I went in to pay it was suddenly double. Not to mention they do shotty work and I think it's intentional. Example.... I had a tooth that she filled a cavity. That "filled" cavity has now become a cracked tooth with abscess. To "fix" the mistake it would cost me another $800. Not to mention they offer nitrous oxide... nice right? Except they charge $100 more than other dental offices. It's ludicrous . Maybe they think bc they may have a "spa" like feel they can charge these prices. But my goodness Do your dental work correctly.
