Rocky beach and no waves because it's on the bay. Parking is $22 for non residents. Wish the water was clearer but it's natural. Brought water shoes but didn't really need them if you're careful. They have an East beach and West beach within park. West allows bbqs, larger fields and nice views. East beach is more like a beach due to lifeguard staff. I arrived at 11ish, paid $22 (non-Connecticut residents have to pay) and found parking immediately. Around 12:30 the parking lots were at capacity and closed. I love how there's so much to do at the park. You can grill, go to the beach, go for a walk and even ride your bike. It's a great time. The beach is small and full of rocks and pebbles. The water was freezing even in the hot weather. The walk towards the water is even worse. There's rocks everywhere you step and can be extremely painful. My sister and I both cut our feet trying to get in and out of the water so I HIGHLY recommend getting some water shoes! My favorite parking lot is the west side only because there's a bathhouse where you can change, use the bathroom and take a shower. Highly recommend to come here for a fun beach day or picnic or grilling. Love love this place!

In addition to walking and biking trails, it has a picnic area, a large off-leash area for dogs, fields, and gardens. It's open from sunup to sundown, and it has its own parking lot (a plus in Westport). It's really more of a large abandoned farm estate than a park. It's beautiful and perfect for dogs to run around in. There's a watering fountain, some toys (but not many--bring your own), and nice benches scattered around the grounds. Nice touch: the benches are named in memory of people's pets. Very nice park.

The farm is free to attend and roam around, and it's great for dates or hanging out with friends. There is extensive grounds and beautiful architecture. Their food was also really good--everything was organic and many items were grown right there on the farm! There were also free tea tastings when we went. Such a lovely way to spend a beautiful day.

There are multiple green spaces and designated dog areas around the mansion. Cranbury park is super shady and a quiet place to unwind from city noise.

One of my favorite town parks! There is a library, playground, splash park, dog run, Dek hockey…read morerink, tennis courts, skate park area, a paved track with a football field in the center, and little trails. The track is a little less than a half mile, so it is a great space to run if you want to do some intervals without having to worry about cars, school hours, or track practice times. There are walkers, runners, and sometimes bikers using the track, but it is never very busy. The splash park is a great place to take small children in summer, and with the regular playground connected to it, one can spend a good amount of time there. On the splash park side there is an area with shaded picnic tables, so one can pack a lunch/snack. It gets busy in summer, so be prepared to share a table with strangers if you are a small party. I never had any issue, and people have always been friendly and polite about the sitting situation. Both the splash park and playground are fenced in with a gated fence between them. In the trails you can encounter people walking dogs, and there are disposable bags/receptacles available for owners to pick up after their dogs. There are public restrooms outside with a few stalls open all year, and a first aid station that is open in summer. If you walk down a very short (but steep) paved hill that begins behind the splash park, you have a gazebo area where some events are held.

Today, I made a quick trip to Seaside Park Beach because my daughter really wanted to visit the…read morebeach, but I was tight on time. We compromised with a short stroll to the shore and back, just enough to enjoy the fresh air and the view of Long Island Sound. Seaside Park is a local gem with soft sand, big grassy areas for picnics, and scenic walking paths, all designed by the same folks behind Central Park. It has a welcoming historic archway and plenty of space to stretch your legs or just sit and watch the waves. For Bridgeport residents, it's very budget friendly at just $15 for an annual parking sticker. ( I got mine today) Non residents pay more about $35 a day for Connecticut visitors and about $55 for out of state guests. Even though our visit was short and sweet, my daughter was happy just feeling the beach. It's a peaceful spot for a summer afternoon, whether you're in for a long day or just a quick breath of ocean air.

The views and all of the different background locations, beach, grass, trees, long island sound, marina with boats, big rocks, etc. ended up being perfect. Originally, I was hoping for fall engagement photos with the foliage, cozy sweaters, flannels and boots. Our first attempt at the end of September was the first of many weekend washouts so we rescheduled for Sunday, 10/29/23 but sure enough, expecting another day of non-stop rain so we luckily, have the best photographer out there (shout out to Melanie Fan) who was able to reschedule us for Saturday, 10/28/23. Of course this was one of the hottest days of October BUT it ended up being perfect. I think the pictures say enough. I see lots of posts about parking but I think since we went out of season, it was free. There were a ton of people there using the paths for walking, biking, exercising. We saw families grilling and hanging out. There was a food truck when you first walked in from the marina side over the little walking bridge. I realize my review is very specific since we had our engagement photos taken here and isn't really giving much to the actual park itself, beach in the summer or anything that I see other reviews talking about but I think going for these views alone on a beautiful day is worth it.
