First, the cleanliness. Many laundromats have filthy floors. But not this one. When we visited, it was very clean. Almost exemplary. And the washroom was also very clean and obviously well maintained, which is rare in itself. The washing machines didn't have any weird smells, black fungus or stuck old detergent from previous users. Second, the equipment. It was good. Well maintained Electrolux washers and dryers. The smallest washer (20 lb) did a good job with a regular wash and warm water. The price - 5 CAD for 28 minutes. The dryer dried our small load in just 16 minutes (1 CAD). The biggest washer takes 77 pounds, which is quite impressive. Third, the vending machines. They were well stocked. You could even buy big bottles of detergent if you wanted to. Plenty of snacks and drinks as well. Fifth, the atmosphere. There was a lot of seating near big windows. Two TVs were playing racing and wildlife. Quite cozy. The area also has interesting food choices nearby (some of them are very questionable though, be careful). What could be better: - coins don't always go through, we had to retry a couple times (never had this issue before) - main wash requires powder detergent (we didn't have it, so had to buy one for 2 CAD for a single load using the vending machine) Overall, though, my kid declared it to be his favorite laundromat. And I agree.

The entire place was spotless including the bathroom and well-maintained, which made doing laundry there so much more comfortable. Donna's positive attitude and willingness to help really stood out and made the whole experience easy and pleasant. If you're going to Laundry Boss, you'll be lucky if Donna is there. She truly provides five-star service and is a big reason We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend! This place and Donna are 5 stars!!

I've been short-changed here before because quarters were just dumped in my hand instead of counted out for me. The pricing keeps getting more and more expensive ($6 in Nov '18 to use a large washer and however much more to dry, the price varies as the machines don't always work). It's becoming untenable for ageing machines despite spending money to renovate their service area, and very bad service. It's the business' duty to guarantee the machines are working, and when they're not working, it's their job to believe clients and make it right, instead of telling paying clients they can choose to put more money in for broken machines. I avoid doing laundry here as much as possible. I also hate leaving reviews like this, even worse for places in The Market. But honesty and community is important, and you get what you give ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It is rather small, but cozy. The Speed Queen machines seem to be solid. The smaller ones (without a name) stink inside, so we didn't use them. "Ultra wash" on a quad-load washer setting was rather pricey (8.75 CAD for 32 minutes), but the clothes seemed to be reasonably clean and without odor. I liked that there is an option to pay with a credit card, but the change machine is also there. The detergent vending machine is also functional, which was convenient since we forgot our supplies. The washroom door said "out of service", but it's OK since there are many affordable restaurants nearby. Speaking of restaurants, we grabbed great chicken wraps and milk shakes from a nearby place and they were very yummy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I'd give this laundromat five stars if the floor was cleaner.

This is by far the best laundromat that I've ever been to. It meets and surpasses my expectations…read morein terms of customer service, cleanliness, and quality of machines. The owners are amazingly friendly and helpful and they seem to take a great deal of pride in their business. Whenever a problem arises they materialize, as if by magic, to solve it. All the machines are brand new, the dryers are extremely efficient, and everything is always clean and well maintained. The only slight drawback is that there are about 3 stairs at the door, which can be a drag if you have a cart full of laundry to haul.

For years I've had the disdain and displeasure of having to pack up my dirty clothes in a big heavy…read morebag and lug them to the local laundromat to get clean. I've grown to detest doing laundry for this very reason, and so until the day that I become lucky enough to own a washer/dryer I've had to become very intimate with the laundry services in my area. I tried a few different ones and grew to hate doing laundry even more, when one had no change machine; one had no decently working dryer, or attendants to talk to about it and I almost gave up and succumbed to hand washing in the bath tub when I discovered this Wash N Fold at Bloor and Shaw. It's nothing special from the outside but I learned young to never judge a book by its cover. To my happiness, I found a clean laundromat run by a very friendly couple who are extremely accommodating (as soon as you walk in they'll point out the best washers available) and apologetic (if they washers are all in use). There are 8 regular, 3 medium and 2 gigantic sized front-loading washers (yes I've been there enough times to know all these minor details) and about 20 dryers. There are also a few top loaders but I think they are on there way out soon. Each load on the regular sized washers are $2 (pretty standard) and they fit a lot of clothes and have instructions in English, French, and Spanish. One day, when I was reading and waiting for my clothes to dry I happened to listen in on a conversation between the laundromat attendant and a maintenance guy who was explaining that the washers were among the best industrial kinds on the market. If you put in too much soap, the machine is designed to add more water to help balance out the suds; so the ratio, no matter what is always perfect depending on the size of your laundry load. 'Who knew laundry machines were so high tech', thought the oblivious girl sitting to the right, pretending to read her book... This Wash 'n Fold is also great because they are never THAT busy and you usually have a quiet place to wait or enough space to fold your clothes. I often leave my stuff there and run some errands as the clothes are washing/drying and never have felt insecure about doing so. They also offer drop off services for those who can afford it or don't mind having strangers sift through your dirty drawers. (Side note: they were gloves so no worries there!) In all my years of experience in local laundromats this one is hands down the best!

The older man at the desk who I assume is the owner was very friendly. He marked the spots that needed repairing and told me it would have to be cleaned too - he explained that the tailor would only work on clean items. I thought this a bit odd but I've never had anything altered before so I thought perhaps this is standard procedure. I now assume that he was just trying to take me for more money. Before I even asked for it to be ready for a specific time he told me it would be ready for Saturday - and emphasized to me numerous times that it was important I was there before 3 as they were closed on Sunday. I assured him this was perfect as my birthday was on Sunday and that's when I needed the dress for anyway. He wished me a happy birthday in advance, made some jokes about needing Sundays to rest and overall we had a pleasant interaction. I left happy and excited to have my fresh, mended dress for the TIFF screening I was to attend as part of my birthday celebrations. I went in today (saturday) at 2:30pm to pick up my dress an the man said "Oh, the vintage dress? That will be ready on Tuesday." I reminded him that my birthday tomorrow and that I needed the dress. He claimed he must have "misunderstood" that I needed it for a specific day. I told him he was the one who told me it would be ready on Saturday. He went to double check and then informed me that not only was it not done, but it wasn't even THERE. "The tailor hasn't brought it back." So, not only was my dress not finished, but I couldn't even take it to try to get it altered elsewhere. What angers me most about the experience is that the man did not apologize or take any responsibility. When I asked if I was expected to pay full price for the service he simply made excuses, threw his hands up and walked away saying "next time, next time." I assured him there would be no next time as I won't be taking my business back there ever again.
