We recently bought a sectional sofa from bricks in the stonebridge branch in Saskatoon. All staff…read morewere very helpful and friendly, but our sake man SONI was extraordinary. He helped us to get a good deal and he was with us Through out the process of ordering and delivery. We had some issues with delivery due to the size of the furniture and delivery people were not sure if it can go through the door in our basement, but SONI went the extra mile to make sure that the furniture is delivered safely and in time. SONI is a helpful person which needs recognition for outing his customers first. Thanks Bricks and Thanks SONI

Received a set of couches from The Brick in February. During delivery, the team damaged my…read morebanister. One couch was intact, however, the other had a tear on the left side as well as on the bottom. We took pictures and communicated with The Brick right away about wanting to return the product. The Brick tried several times to have us accept a small amount of money from them instead of following through with the return. Ultimately, we were able to return the couch. We then waited until the end of April for the replacement. When the replacement arrived, the moving crew took the damaged couch out of the house and damaged the hardwood floor in doing so. The damage was not obvious at first (they had put the new couch on top of it and I was unable to see it until I moved the couch back a few feet last week). Initially, the replacement couch appeared pristine. But later I noticed a scuff on the left arm, and a tear on the back (it appeared to have been caused by a box cutter). I took photos of the damage as soon as I noticed it (they are time stamped). However, I am a healthcare worker and was very busy over the next week and unable to contact them. When I finally was able to reach out, they refused to consider refunding or exchanged the damaged product, and (much more irritating) they refused to do anything about the damage to my home. I spent what felt like an hour going back and forth with the agent. They started quoting the return and exchange policies at me telling things like "those are decisions you made as a customer and adult" (obviously that was very irritating). The agent told me that they will review the case, but I have my doubts that they will do anything helpful. The last message they sent me linked to the Government of Canada's note on returns "In Canada, businesses are not obligated to accept the return of purchased items unless they are defective. However, many businesses offer refunds or exchanges for various other reasons to help foster good customer relations". Leave it to say, I will NEVER use The Brick for purchasing furniture again and I strongly advise anyone who is considering purchasing furniture to look elsewhere. In particular, if you are a busy professional, someone working in healthcare, or do not have an infinite amount of time to look over new furniture with a magnifying glass. I will never buy from The Brick again. However, my opinion may change should they review my case and decide to do the right thing (I have my doubts). They certainly did not appear to want to "help foster good customer relations".

I recently purchased Café Refrigerator, Stove, and Dishwasher from Coast Appliances with high…read moreexpectations, but the experience has been incredibly frustrating. Initially, the refrigerator and stove seemed fine, at least the appliances that appeared not severely damaged, but upon closer inspection before the 15th day, I noticed cosmetic damage on the refrigerator that wasn't visible earlier. I immediately reached out to both the retail store and then manufacturer, expecting a straightforward resolution. Unfortunately, neither party took responsibility. The retail store claimed it was beyond their return window and directed me to the manufacturer. On the other hand, the manufacturer dismissed the issue entirely, stating that cosmetic damage wasn't covered unless reported sooner. I'm shocked at the lack of accountability from both companies. Appliances are a significant investment, and customers should not be penalized for noticing issues slightly later, especially when these issues clearly existed upon delivery. (Hidden damage between doors was not openly visible upon initial inspection until one has had time to thoroughly review all sides including obscure areas.) To make matters worse, the retail store's customer service was dismissive, and I had to chase the manufacturer multiple times, only to receive the same unhelpful response. Now, I'm left with expensive appliances that look damaged and have no resolution in sight. As for the dishwasher, it was severely damaged upon delivery and the damaged product was refused and requested a replacement. I'm still without a dishwasher. I understand that issues can arise during delivery, not to mention my entrance was damaged by Coast Appliance delivery staff that they hired and as well their installer of the appliances removed the old dishwasher did not plug the drain under the sink and now water damage under the sink. I expected better from both the retail store and the manufacturer. This experience has left me dissatisfied and wary of shopping with either company in the future. I strongly advise potential buyers to inspect their products thoroughly upon delivery and avoid these companies if they value quality and service.

I called within that time frame and asked if they would refund the difference as most other companies do. After not hearing anything for a week, I called again and was told they do not do that. Their reasoning was that the product was already "shipped". Very poor customer service and I will not recommend them.
