Home was accepted as anyone's would be and water damage occurred recently. Extremely frustrating and upsetting right before winter. No discussions no considerations or appeals just straight denial within 4 days of reporting. This was also 10 months after reporting previous concerns where an adjuster was not even sent out. Feeling literally left out in the cold with 5 children and hoping we can find another company to holds up their end of the "homeowners insurance" policy.

Not sure why she didn't simply proceed with what was asked for. We did end up with new plates ( as requested) but didn't need the lengthy talk. She said it was her job to explain the difference in price. Nope. Her job is to perhaps briefly say is was more expensive but then simply complete the customer's order. No hard sell of old plates. My elderly husband urgently needed to use their washroom but was denied. A list of restaurants and grocery store was given. Not nice to shuffle us off to other merchants ( that we weren't using). All in all painfully slow service. She was pleasant enough but don't go if you are looking for timely service. The 2 other clerks looked up but didn't intervene to speed up the simple transaction.

I recently moved from Seattle to Vancouver and once I had my RIV inspection completed just a few minutes away at Canadian Tire, the licensing and insurance was so quick thanks to Ka Hing. I am also grateful that they welcome walk-ins, and in my case, I had zero wait time. Their name, "King Insurance" also reminded me of Seattle's King County, so it was a nice connection there lol.

I got a great rate when I switched to them, and any time I've needed to make any changes, they always jump right on it, and help me cheerfully. If I have to make my payment late, they are really accommodating then too. Emma is amazing, and super helpful and easy to work with. Diamond has been doing a lot of the more clerical things on my account for the past couple of years, and she is also very sweet and easy to work with. I brought my boyfriend in last summer to switch his insurance, and he was positively amazed by the better insurance he got with State Farm than what he'd had for years with his former carrier. I've only ever personally had any negative experiences with one employee at Joe Treat, and it was a couple of years ago. I have not dealt with her again, and I don't think she is still working there. If she is, they have stuck to their word about not making me work with her again. I used to be friendly with a former employee who had a lot of nightmare "behind the scenes" experiences with another current rep. My experiences with that rep have always been positive, but the things I heard were pretty bad, so I am always wary of that when I do deal with her. Adding everything up, I highly recommend Joe Treat's State Farm. In particular, I recommend Emma as your agent. I don't know if Diamond is an agent, but if she is, I would recommend her too. They are both lovely and do/provide everything you could hope for from an insurance agent.
