The rodeo was awesome, lots of bucking bulls and horses, great music and food, the party after the rodeo was also also a great time!

I have 3 daughters and this was our third and BEST wedding hands down. We loved the venue and all the activities really gave us a chance to co-mingle with all the guests. Tammy was incredible and was there to make sure everything went smooth. I can't thank or praise her enough. Without her our stress level would have been through the room, and I can think of a couple bumps in the road that she gracefully averted for us. Tammy was the MVP of the trip!!! For the price, this is an incredible value and I recommend Westgate River Ranch for your wedding or event. I have to say that everyone we met were so nice, and everyone was willing to go above and beyond. The girls that held the lobby doors, the agents at the desk were all so helpful, as was the golf cart attendant. A nice young man named Sam was our waiter three times, was awesome, and even though the kitchen was a little long the first night, and some of our guests got impatient, I was really impressed at how Sam handled it and won us over. We loved the clay shooting and again we had a great guide! The swamp buggy was great also. Again we loved the driver! My wife and I can't wait to come up by ourselves. read more

We had an amazing experience. The staff were amazing and made sure we had a wonderful time. From check in, to the restaurants they were all super friendly and helpful. HWY 60 is a high speed nightmare make sure you come in during the day time. On HWY they have a ton of Hogs crossing the Road at night time. We checked in on a Friday and even with doing the Online Check in we still had to sit in Line for them to sell us all the events. It was Nice they had someone show us the camp site but could not see much at night time. Platform Camping, RV Camping, the One you set your own tent up with, is very crowded area at night time you are on top of each other and it is very hectic with all the Gas powered gas carts roaming. Platform Camping the Tent can Fit 1-2 Family's Just fine, the Fire Pitt is nice and the Grill is nice as well, It had 110 Electrical Hook ups just near the Door and a Water outlet not far away to wash off items. its hard to sleep until about mid night 1am ish from all the noises. The Restrooms was a Walk Not going to joke about it as well as the showers. They are ok but for the price it would be nice to have nicer setup for that. One thing that throws me off is "NO ICE MACHINES" you have to keep buying bags of Ice and in a Resort most places have ice Machines. Zip Line, Petting Farm, Saloon, Rodeo, Golf, and bull Riding is a very short walking distance from the type of camping spots I was talking about above as well as shooting Range and archery. ( Places a bit further away is the Restaurant, General Store, and Western Store, Fishing, Boating, Swamp Buggy ). Items we did: / Zip Line was closed / Petting Farm was great / Pony Ride was great but very short for the price / Gift shop near the petting farm is not worth anyone's time / Bull Riding looked fun but did not try it / Rock Wall my son Loved it / Golf is not worth someone's time unless you spent a week here and you run out of stuff to do / Jumping Bounce was great my kid loved it as well as all the others I seen get on it / The Rodeo is great I loved it but Kit not as much and a Fair amount of people started walking out before it was done / Swamp buggy I did not do but ive done it before other places / Boat tour did not do / Archery was great and fun, if you have 1-3 people just pay for 1 person and share as it gets old after 15 mins shooting 4 arrows and picking them up and you pay for a hour of time / shooting I did not do but most people said it was great / Saloon looks super cool but my kid got tired so I could not hang out long for the street party but that is a good deal to do. Tip: For the Rodeo eat before going and get to the Rodeo a few Mins before 6 as they start to let the line in at 6:30, Go to the Restroom before getting in line and take drinks and snacks with you as the line for the Restroom and snack bar is insane. The time does pass fast until the show starts. its best to sit higher up so you can see but it is not any social distance so covid love this place. Tip: you don't have to have a golf cart unless you are Glamping which is awful because it is just by the entrance and next to the air port so it is loud and not personal but it is further away from the action. If you want a Golf cart Reserve it while booking the Reservation. Don't do the time share free cart deal man that takes forever and I talked to 3 family's that wish they did not do it. If you want to do Camp fire bring a fair amount of wood. People talk like the General Store is expensive but it is not much more than when I went to Publix given its location not being near much. The General Store also will make Fresh Pizza and it looks amazing. Conclusion: would I do it again? Yes but I'm happy I checked in on a Friday and checked out on Sunday because the Camping and Relaxing part is not possible here, the Attractions they have you can do in 2 days. If you are going to take a boat out and fish a few days you can add that on as well. If you Decide something could happen you can to cancel 5 days prior to your stay to get a Refund and given Covid is around just keep that in mind the Family across from our tent lost $160 a few weeks prior because the wife came down with Covid and got sick. read more

I made a reservation to Westgate River Ranch Resort and placed a deposit for a suite before the pandemic. As the country was beginning to shut down, we called to get a refund and we were denied the refund with the explanation that it was against there policy and that they would give us a credit. There excuse at the time was that the rooms were still available, and we could come and stay if we wanted to. The Rodeo was closed, most of the other activities available were closed as well but they refused to credit back the money. After some back and forth we decided to simply hold of and wait till we can get back to some normality and we would try again. Today, almost a year later we tried to make a reservation and we were quoted almost $50 more for a lesser room. The overall experience in dealing with the reservation desk directly and trying to get anything done is a nightmare. We simply could not reach any sort of arrangement with this conglomerate resort organization and the result is that they are going to steel our deposit. This makes no sense but is another perfect example of how big corporations cheat and take advantage of the public and hide behind a vale of policies and BS you never knew about until you have a problem. What a disaster and a waist of time and money! Do yourself a favor and find another resort or better of a small ranch with a lot more personality and kindness behind it. Westgate river ranch and rodeo. Is by far got the worst manager in laundry and housekeeping. Angela Francis she is the worst manager what manager lets public areas sit for 4 days without getting cleaned to wait for an employee to come back to work . the saloon sat for 4 days dirty her excuse was i didnt have anyone to clean it . but yet has a temp agency working for her department. Are you for real. Its ashame that this manager can be in the position she is in. She does nothing for her employees but pass the buck and have 100 excuses of why things are not getting done. Sad cause i liked it over there but angela francis needs to under go some managing skills. This is A resort9 people pay good money to come here the public areas should be nice and cleaned and stocked with tp and paper towel and soap. I came back after 4 days off went into the lodge to use the restroom to come to find out NO toilet paper NO paper towel. No excuse for her poor managing skills. They need to get someone else in her position i probably would of stayed there for many many years. Angela Francis. Cares about her side buisness which is a cleaning buisness she needs to worry more about westgate which should be by far her first priority seeing how this is her bread and butter. Guest are not to happy with her as well. Ray is a good gm. He tries to make sure all things are. Getting complete. To the best he can. Things with the housekeeping and laundry manager need to change thats why employees are not staying. She sits in her office dont pay attention to her employees Sarah which is her assistant does way more with employees than angela has ever thought of doing .I think angela needs to go out into the field to see what her employees are actually doing. Make sure jobs are getting complete. I feel i came to work when scheduled i come and did my job to the best i could do. And i could of went higher in this company. Because i stived hard .And angela francis ruined my job for me. I was a good employee and very loyal. I got along well with everyone i had some bad days but it was do to Angela Francis not doing her job. She also talks to employees about other employees thats why there is so much drama in her department i just wish other employees seen the truth behind her lies. Its time the employees stepped up. To let other higher ups know how Angela Francis really is. She needs NOT to be in her position. If Angela Franis was not in the position she is in i would love to still be a westgate.
