Great staff! Had to take my dog in to have stitches removed while we were in town visiting. Quick in and out. The staff was very nice!

As a dog trainer it is essential to have a reliable and experienced veterinarian on speed dial to send new clients to for vaccinations or to call if a pup gets injured or sick. Dr. Karen treats all the animals she sees with such love and compassion. She is gentle natured and has a vast amount of traditional Western Veterinary medicine and holistic (country- farm) medicine knowledge. She is exceptional at treating the problem not just the symptoms and is always focused on proper gut health, quality nutrition and not over medicating your animal needlessly. She works independently without a technician so you get the privilege of talking directly to her instead of a technician. She also only allows one customer in her clinic at a time so your animal won't be in close proximity of other sick animals or at risk of being exposes to an aggressive animal that isn't feeling well. 5 stars is truly not enough to describe how amazing Dr. Karen is and the services she provides!!!

I called their office at High Plains one day and told the front desk staff my story and they were exceptional! They could not have been any kinder and they got me in that day with my dog. I was incredibly lucky because it was 40 below, and Dr. Boyce wasn't out in the field and had a clinic day. She saw my Maggie, a Chihuahua, who was a rescue dog. She took one look and knew that Maggie had Cushing's disease not hypothyroidism. Dr Boyce did the lab test for confirmation and sure enough her values were high and she had Cushing's. Maggie lived 12 more weeks. I am firmly convinced that Dr Boyce improved the quality of her life, made her feel better, and Maggie wouldn't have even survived the final 12 weeks if it was not for Dr. Boyce and the whole team at High Plains Veterinary Clinic! When Maggie was there for blood work, the front desk staff shared with me that one of the vet tech's would take Maggie out and hold her. This is the nicest group of individuals who love animals. I was able to get my baby home and she had one good week at home. I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Boyce and the whole team at High Plains Veterinary Clinic. I highly recommend them to anybody. I wish they would move to Colorado where I live as I know someday soon I will get another dog.

They now refuse to see our dogs. They lack empathy for pet owners, and lack any compassion or the ability to talk to a pet owner thats terrified thier dog my die.

But then they asked for the last four digits of my Social Security number, which immediately raised a red flag. The whole process just didn't sit right with me. Between the lack of responsiveness and the questionable information they were asking for, the experience felt off from the start. Based on my interaction--and seeing a similar review here--I'd recommend using your own judgment, but personally, this is a place I'd steer clear of.

I took him into Watford city veterinary on 6-20-22 at 1130 for a standard procedure. I received a call from dr. Foster at approximately 1230 saying that he had bad news. He said "he didn't know what happened and my best friend Einstein had passed away. My bird Einstein had received the same procedure 5 times at other veterinary hospitals with no issues. I took him in and he was fine an hour later he was dead and they even made me pay for the procedure.I would find a different veterinary even if you have to travel. They are incompetent, narcissistic and obviously only care about the money. Please don't take your animal friends here. If you do you are rolling the dice that they will come back unharmed.

I've been looking to get a puppy and when my fiancée and I drove by my fiancée pointed out the sign stating the store had chihuahua puppies. We walked in and there was an all white long hair chihuahua puppy left, $800 fee, which is steep I told my fiancée we didn't have to, the employee then butt into the conversation and said "it's the breeder that sets the price not us", well for one I know you up the price to get a profit (I didn't say this to her), I then asked if we can see her and again rudely she tells me "only if you're interested" I then tell her "obviously I was!". My fiancée was going to drop the $800 but this employees lack of customer service made us walk out.

When I picked him up the girl at the front desk said there would be no charge because the groomer had "clipped" his ear while he was there. I asked "How could he have been clipped with anything he was only there for a bath?!" (Also no one informed me he was hurt over the phone, just told me he was ready to be picked up) She said while they were clipping his nails he jerked his head and she got his ear. I immediately said "Why were they cutting his nails?!" "I asked to have him bathed and brushed only!" There were 3 employees present when I said it. Also "How could a nail clipper clip his ear?" She didn't respond. When I examined him, half of his ear had been jaggedly cut off and pieces of it were super glued back on. His nails had been cut all the way to the nub cutting his quicks on all paws, they were bloody, and he is still limping. I am beyond upset! His ear was obviously cut off with Hair Clippers not nail clippers. They should not have had anything sharp near him at all! I will NOT take any of my pets here ever again.

On my first visit I was charged for a visual exam and pain medications, even though there was obvious deformity, pain and lameness. On my second visit I was charged for an X ray of the foot, even though I had shown the vet the obvious deformity; I was then charged for a second X ray which was 'fuzzy' and unreadable. This X ray was then referred for a second opinion at my request to an Ortho vets, and could not be read; the referral was not sent by this facility so they could not tell what to reference. I did not see the vet I requested, even after scheduling around my night shifts, as I had "been erased from the appointment book." I had to drive 5 hours to Bismarck to an Emergency vet, who diagnosed the fractured scapula within two minutes; orthopedic surgery is required due to the time lapse. Numerous calls regarding the above were made only to be ignored, and no refund was ever received.
