The best cash checking place in Los Angeles also happens to be the one that's thankfully open 24-hours a day. For anyone who's been unfortunate enough to have to deal with cash checking places for whatever reason, you'll quickly find out how most of them bend over backwards trying to make things difficult for you. This place is exactly the opposite. You can be on speed and have blood on your shirt at 4:21 in the morning and they'll cash your check.... with a smile. This friends, THIS is service!

To be honest my overall experience with US bank would be described as tumultuous as best…read more With that being said, Sholeh Assil, the branch manager of the Hollywood location deserves a rating of 3000/5, and her fantastic customer service has retained me as a US bank customer for the time being. US bank has very competitive corporate account options. I opted to use their corporate debit account as there is no associated service fee. Shortly after setting up my account, Sholeh called to introduce herself and discuss US banks additional account options. With my great customer service experience, I opted to set up a credit account through US bank. Unfortunately I set up my account through the US bank website, and not through the email that Sholeh sent me. That was a grave mistake and I highly recommend you avoid doing this. Unfortunately, if the account is set up online, the branches have less access to the accounts. There was a discrepancy between the business titles of the debit and credit accounts in the US bank system, despite using the same EIN. After ~3 hours of being on hold and being transferred between different US bank departments, a financial advisor / supervisor was able to see the discrepancy, advised the name change procedure, and hopefully my accounts would be corrected within the next month. (This discrepancy also prevented access to online / account services of my US bank corporate credit account.) Unfortunately during these phone calls, numerous US bank telephone employees advised me to open a personal account the link the two corporate accounts, which is a definite NO and would have resulted in even more errors per the account supervisor. US bank made one phone call that I missed regarding the "name change procedure" requesting official documentation, didn't send any email or mail correspondence, and unfortunately the credit account was closed within less than 30 days from the "name change" or their single telephone correspondence. I was unaware of this, sent Sholeh an email asking if she could follow up on the account status, and she very quickly sent me an email that my credit account was closed without any available information, and advised me to come into her office. Shortly after arriving at her office, she was able to call the credit account and quickly correct the error. Unfortunately when opening up a credit account online, SIGNIFICANT financial information is missing from the account which resulted in these errors. Sholeh was able to use her greater than 20 years of banking experience to identify these errors, and directly upload correct documentation from the California Secretary of State website to correct these errors. Something that has been a bit eye-opening during my experience thus far with US bank, is how many of their employees that are directly customer facing are unfamiliar with financial laws and regulations. My experience with Sholeh, as well as the financial advisor / supervisor has shown me the limited use of the typical US bank employee, if any situation arises that is not directly on the "us bank decision making tree." One process that was a bit unfortunate to see, the only employees who correctly identified themselves as US bank employees when three-way calling a second US bank department were the financial advisor / supervisor, and Sholeh. There is an internal process where the US bank employees verify a code via Teams, and the only time this actually occurred were when Sholeh and the financial advisor / supervisor mentioned, "aren't you going to identify my identity through teams?" TL;DR US bank has some competitive business accounts available, however my overall experience with US bank as a corporation makes me hesitant about establishing additional business with them. If you are interested in taking advantage of these great offers, I would recommend scheduling an appointment with Ms. Sholeh Assil directly, or the Hollywood office that she manages.

In this economy I'm taking advantage. The trippy thing is it's a bank with no bankers. Or maybe it's a bank branded coffee shop collab with Verve coffee, which is cool but also kind of a weird vibe tbh. And they have bankers hours so if you want to just hang out like you normally do at every other coffee shop then you'll have to do it before 6pm.

Today, around 3:15 pm, I walked into this beautiful institution to make a payment in person. The guy at the teller stand was cordial, prompt, helpful and professional. Since it was a pretty hot day, I decided to get myself a cold Iced Coffee with Oat milk and a snack. Keep in mind, if you are a Capital Card member, your coffee/snacks is half off. That's Great!! It is in the heart of Hollywood that I love and adore so much. The guy who rang me up at Verve Coffee Roasters was also quick, friendly with a nice smile. Outside parking, restrooms, and both the bank, and the coffee shop was nice and clean. What more can one ask for?? Killing 2 birds with one stone! What's in your wallet? At the moment nothing.

There are people to talk to when you need something, money transfers happen swiftly with no anxious anticipation, their app interface is clean and uncluttered by distractions.

Every time I reached out for help or clarification, customer service was either dismissive, unhelpful, or completely unwilling to work with me in any meaningful way. What's most disappointing is that I stayed loyal because I believed a credit union would treat members better than a traditional bank. Instead, I dealt with constant issues, poor communication, and zero flexibility when problems came up. There was never any sense that they actually valued long-term customers.

I remember getting all the information that helped persuade to open a membership. They assisted me with a credit card and then a personal loan to help me be debt free from past credit card uses! As of now, I'm close to paying off my debt and feel that Logix FCU gave me the chance to make that a reality! It's also great to say that every logix location I have had the pleasure of going to have all been great service all around! I know I will have a life long relationship with logix as I will also open an UTMA account for my nephew to help save for his future! Although the loan officer (Jonathan Cabrera) was very nice and professional, I was blocked from speaking to the Sr. Underwriter, Annette Aivazian, who clearly did not understand my documents and took way too long. It took 4 days! I would want a different Underwriter to handle this loan.
