Horrible!!!! We have used Western Nevada Management to manage the HOA I live in. I couldn't be more unhappy with how they run things. Even when talking with the owner Sue directly She seems annoyed and bothered by anybody even contacting her about a serious issue with her staff. No accountability. No management of employees . Completely unaware of what it's actually happening on the properties they manage. Its no wonder their reviews are low. One of their workers that I specifically have problems with and do not want in my unit was trying to illegally enter my unit that I own, without my knowledge by asking neighbors for a spare key . That employee still works in my complex , and was given a raise . 0 stars if possible . read more

This office does the property management for my rental and it's clear by the other ratings they are in some serious need of competent staff. Any issues you email them about they reply maybe 2 or 3 days later or sometimes not at all. Getting maintenance done takes weeks and they will either forget to call you or email you if they make an appointment for a service call ! The office staff is clearly incompetent and irresponsible for client requests and concerns. I feel bad for the owners of the properties having to deal with these people.. read more

Looking for a rental after 22 years in Reno. Boy, the real estate market has changed. I have to pay a real estate company to look at my 780 credit score, my six-figure salary, and if I ended up in jail in the past, for a rental in Sparks, NV? I was invited by W.N.M. to an open house and decided to apply for the house application and paid $40 bucks. Two days later and no response. The House was rented and I get no feedback which would be simple common courtesy to a possible customer. Seems like all the house applications collected are a scam. I think I saw 100 plus contacts on this property. If half of them applied W.N.M. would make an easy $2k. read more

If I could give these people negative stars, I would. Literally the worst property management company in Nevada. They claim they send out notices, they don't. They claim they are working on your HOA complaints so that your neighbors are compliant and the neighborhood looks presentable, but they aren't. Nothing improves, if anything, conditions get worst. And they charge an exuberant amount in HOA a month which I would love to know where that money goes to. And if you have any issues that you are trying to work out with the HOA, do yourself a favor and stay away from Shane Miller & Claire Harry, they couldn't care less about anything besides collecting your HOA money and doing the bare minimum. read more

I would give negative stars if I could. I have waited two weeks to write this review after my last interaction with Jodi Corona. (They also have moved to a new location at Peckham lane by the Atlantis. ) I rented from Western Nevada Management for 1 1/2 years. I was also in close contact with the owner of the property I rented. Whenever we had an issue, the owner dealt with the situation from out of state. We were told to follow this checklist we were given upon our move out. It included things such as "replace air filter, fill any holes from nails, replace all burned out light bulbs, clean patio, ...". We did every single thing that was asked of us upon moving from this property. We were told there would be a $200 deduction from our $1200 deposit for "cleaning " ($1100 deposit + $100 deposit for amenities key). After only renting for 1 1/2 years this seemed reasonable. 30 days after we turned in our keys, I give Jodi Corona a phone call to see if she has sent our deposit check out yet, and asked her how much the check would be for. Jodi says" $404". I drove as fast as I could to her new office ( located on Peckham, not Mill) to see what I was being charged $800 for. On the list I was charged as follows: $205 for burned out lightbulbs, labor to fix hole in wall by front door, burned out vanity fuse, touch up paint, screen door, blinds, all outlet covers had cracks. $200 for labor to patch hole and replace lightbulbs. $250 for cleaning $120 for carpet shampoo First, we loved the owner. She had been the most amazing landlord we have had in 10 years of renting in Reno. She communicates well. Jodi Corona does not represent the way the owner does business. That said, we left that property looking better than it did when we moved in. Out of respect for the owner. There were zero holes in any walls, let alone by the front door. We replaced every single lightbulb in the place with matching LED lightbulbs. After filling holes from nails, we applied touch up paint to all surfaces that required it. We even had the carpet shampooed. We also replaced each outlet cover in the place as well! I'm not as upset about the money as I am that Jodi lied. She completely lied about the state of the property. Yes she took our money, I found out she also charged the owner for cleaning and carpet shampooing as well. I am going to take legal action now as well. Jodi Corona is a liar and a thief. Western Nevada Management, Inc. also has a 1 star rating on BBB. read more

Unfortunately, we had no say in who would oversee our HOA in the last year and half. The issues we have personally encountered since then have been disturbing. I do not believe Western Nevada Management works to better the communities they serve, or has any concern for the members of our community. It appears they are only here to collect a payment and are unable to assist with basic request. Wish I could rate 0 stars. Will be working with our board in the coming months to see if we can find a better management company. read more

NEVER CHOSE THIS COMPANY !!! PlEASE DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME !!!!!! If I could rate 0 stars I would we should've listened to all the comments and reviews prior to renting with this company . Worst company I have ever dealt with . They don't care about you and will STEAL YOUR MONEY!!! When we moved out we left it in much better condition then when we left . We were still charged over $1600 for cleaning and damage which was not there previously We even provided over 50 photos of the house after it was cleaned showing no damage and how it was left in pristine condition and the company still decided to keep our money . we also paid a $250 non refundable carpet cleaning fee prior to signing the lease on our house and were charged an additional $300 carpet cleaning fee when we moved out . They even have the audacity to charge you mileage for their cleaning crew. Oh but wait they also charge you $50/hour for their cleaning crew . Again I will tell you we deep cleaned this house and it was immaculate . I warn anyone who looks to use this company and plead you not to , they are horrible. After six years of being a client of Western Nevada Management, I can say they do a good job within the confines of what they are allowed to do under Nevada law. Community management is a tough labor intensive business; a necessary service, and subject to interpretation. Western Nevada Management does a good job. It's not a deposit you're giving them; it's a cleaning fee--and they're going to clean whether you did or not. We broke our backs getting the house ready for the next renters, and they still took 2/3 of the deposit and charged us rent for the nearly two weeks their cleaning took after we'd moved out. Our rent went up significantly every year, too. The were fine to rent from, but they screwed us on the way out the door. read more

Very, very poor communications. They have yet to return 2 phone calls from Monday and Thursday of last week requesting property maintenance. Neighbors call for the same issue still remain unreturned. Due to the lack of response, the Waste Management truck was not able to get to our homes for pick-up. They had 5 days to deal with the issue, but nothing. read more

Horrible experience. My family and I were tenants of a Western Nevada rental home for over two years. The property manager was disrespectful, dishonest, and showed terrible communication & even harassment. The company president consented to and even enabled her behavior. We ended up packing all of our stuff and moving to a new place so we wouldn't have to deal with this company -- that's how bad it was. Would absolutely not recommend. Very untrustworthy. read more

Please do not make the same mistake we made, we should've listened to the reviews. I wish we would've waited! The initial contact and upkeep is all great, until you move out. Sadly I would give them a 0 star rating. Do not expect any of your deposit to be refunded. Reading through other reviews on Yelp, BBB, and Google, their is one common thing: no one gets their deposit back. Several had the same issues, broken doors and cleaning fees. Surprise surprise... ours had the same. This company does not care about you! The home was left in great condition, we even cleaned carpets. The house was deep cleaned for a few days, since we had about 2 weeks to move out. We moved out in a week, and cleaned for another. The company was provided with tons of photos. Pease be smart and take pictures of everything upon move in and move out. Including video. The company requested we reach out to them within a week from deposit if we wanted to dispute the claims, which we did, but it took them almost a month to respond back to us. They do not obey by the same expectations, poor customer service! They blamed their lack of communication on the owner of the home, who is the sweetest man! I hope he finds himself another agency to list and manage his property! And on top of all of that, they even charged us for mileage for their employees to drive from their agency to the property. Please please please don't make the same mistake we did, I can't even imagine someone else specially anyone who has a hard time coming up with so much money to go through the same thing. read more

After owning a home for over 20 years, I unexpectedly found myself in a position needing to rent. I looked at many properties through many different management companies. I came very close to renting a home from another company then read the Yelp reviews and was scared away. I landed with WNM because of the home I was hoping to rent. I've been in the home for just over a year and have been extremely pleased because of Jodi Corona. I have never waited more than 24 hours for a response, more often than not is within a few hours! She is quick to find and provide maintenance when needed. ONCE when the maintenance was not timely (due to the maintenance company) she immediately made a phone call on my behalf, communicated with me and asked if I did not hear from the company to give her a call and she would make sure I got the help I requested. It is my perception that delays and neglect of properties are out of her hands and dependent on the owners of the properties. I have absolutely no reservations recommending Western Nevada Management and Jodi Corona. read more

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I rented a property through the company, they took my entire security deposit, and then when I questioned the charges they tried to charge me an additional $660 after my account showed a zero balance in retaliation for questioning the charges. Unethical company with no respect for tenants. By far my worst experience ever with a rental company. Filed a complaint with the BBB and took the company 2.5 years to respond to the complaint showing a zero balance again on my account. read more

Western Nevada Management says they have a property management division within their company, and they do. However, after sending really good photos of the inside and outside of my house, they chose to do a "drive by" and then get back to me with a price they felt I should rent it for without even asking for the key so they could go inside and check out the interior. It has, for example, brand new carpet and flooring, but how would they no that. I could go on and one here, but I'm sure you get the picture. What sort of professional property management company would try to determine a price they would rent a house for without opening the front door. If that is how they operate, I certainly would not trust them to be my property management company. read more

These people are ridiculous property managers. They send obnoxious letters and warnings out nearly every month for the dumbest reasons and nearly harass their tenants. If on Nov 1, a day after Halloween you still have a pumpkin on your own patio, they'll harass you. If you have a bag of potting soil on your patio, they'll harass you. I've been here for nearly eight months using the same car in the same parking spot and they were nice enough to tag my car with a tow notice. They're convinced my upper deck is leaking to the bottom property and despite zero water damage and the down stairs property renter having no idea what they're talking about they still felt the need to harass me over drips (after three days of rain by the way). I didn't even have a yelp account until these people drove me to create one and McCarran Knolls didn't even have a Yelp pg. until I created this one. Every neighbor I've talked to has some story about these people being jerks. These people are a stain in their industry. read more

In no way would I recommend anyone to rent a property managed by WNM. I found the initial contract signing satisfactory, which was the only high point in the entire experience. I am unfamiliar with what sort of contract WNM has with propriety owners. The propriety owner showed up at the propriety more than once unannounced. This is a violation of not only the rental agreement but also Nevada law. Nevada law requires 24 hours notice. This put me in a challenging situation, I cannot be rude to the actual owner yet I didn't want this person showing up unannounced. Once I cleared the property I was very surprised that the refund of my deposit was only a fraction of the total deposit amount. The detailed list included additional cleaning at over twice the agreed-upon contract amount, along with extensive costs for "repairs". After much back and forth I was forced to take legal action to recoup my deposit. Nevada law is VERY clear when it comes to required times for returning remaining deposits and providing detailed move out charges. I felt that they attempted strong arm tactics in hopes I would not pursue legal action. I would not I would not recommend WNM to any of my friends or family. read more
