TL;DR: Highly recommend. Super friendly & knowledgeable staff. Curated selection of liquors…read more **Staff and Service** The staff at this place is beyond friendly. Every time I've been, I've been greeted with a warm welcome and a smile. Unlike other liquor stores, you don't have to search for someone to help you here - the staff comes to you and offers assistance. One unique experience was when I was struggling to choose between two different types of scotch. The staff actually opened the bottles and gave me a sample to help me decide. I ended up loving both and bought them both. Another time, when I was purchasing wine, the staff at checkout offered to give me a chilled bottle of the same wine, making it immediately drinkable. Kind gestures like these really make a difference. **Liquor Section** The collection of liquor here is carefully curated, and it's clear that the person choosing the liquors knows their stuff. With limited shelf space, every bottle seems to be chosen wisely, which benefits us as customers. **Parking and Convenience** The parking is incredibly convenient, with reserved spots right in front of the store entrance. If you know what you're looking for, you can be in and out in under a minute. ***Overall*** This is definitely my favorite store. I love the rotating selection, the friendly and knowledgeable staff, and the ease of parking and quick service.

Came in this evening for some wine, customer service was impeccable as usual…read moreI actually was chatting with the employee and was curious about how Amy B could have such a bad experience He explained that there was an employee they hired and seemed OK at first but then she quickly showed her true colors and was being rude to customers when she was alone In the store however the owner caught on within a couple weeks and terminated her very quickly but unfortunately Amy got there at the wrong time I think that's a good reminder that it's important we reach out to management when we have an issue, yes they should be monitoring Yelp and I did advise them of that as well as they should take ownership of the site and reply to Amy to apologize however I still think it's important to contact or leave a message for the manager / owner at a later time so that they can address these problems more quickly; I've had several great conversations with the owner of this place and he's a really hard-working guy, he probably doesn't get a chance to check Yelp as often as he should

I was greeted pleasantly and was able to navigate the store without any negativity. They have a wide selection of wines and liquors with a nostalgic village storefront. The prices are fair and competitive. Check out was equally as pleasant, I was offered assistance if needed and the door was held open for me. I am pleased we were able to turn this review around.

Great resource for my 'hood…read more This store is solid; they have a great selection of wine and liquors - the customers are urbanites of all flavors. Just like the neighborhood. No need to drive out to Hobby Lobby's neighbor. Great selection of cocktail whiskeys, single malts, and mixers. There are a few things missing here and there - my favorite rye for cocktails is Old Overholt and vermouth - Noilly Prat - but the rest of a well stocked liquor cabinet is here. I tend not to get my wine here - I shop in a more speciality place for that. The staff are friendly and the place is very easy to get to with parking out front. The parking is the biggest challenge - angled and back in first. Watching people figure out what to do can be the most amusing part of a visit. Stop in you will like the place. I can't really comment on the prices - the seem fine to me - cheaper than smaller speciality shops but more expensive the big box liquor shops.

I walked into the store and said "my wife likes this kind of wine, but I'm sick of it."…read more That's when Peter shot up from whatever he was doing and took me on a tour of the store. He began showing me all of the wines that have elements of what my wife likes. His recommendations were spot on. We put a case together, I paid (with a sizable case discount) and he gave me his card before I left so that I could let him know what we thought. You can go to any discount wine store and probably pay $1-$2 less per bottle than their retail prices, but you're probably not going to find a Peter there. His knowledge was so valuable. This just became the only place we go to buy wine.

Driving past these kinds of places, you never really know what you're going to get. The sign is generic (in this case, the name is too.) Will it be really sketchy inside? Will it be small? In this case, the answer to both is no. Liquor Square is huge, with high ceilings and tons of shelves, a space that gives off a bit of a warehouse vibe. Nonetheless, this is a pretty nice liquor store. Their selection is vast and laid out in a way that makes it easy to browse. On a somewhat recent visit, a staff member saw me eyeing the whites, asked if I needed assistance, and then gave me really thoughtful recommendations on Chardonnays (which I took and didn't regret.) Also, they have a good assortment of pre-chilled wine in a cooler near the entrance, which makes it super easy to run in and grab something if you're shopping last-minute and need something in a rush. On the whole, very convenient.
