Disgusting. Children were forced to change in a room with a two way mirror. They got caught and tried to cover it up.

There is, in our opinion, no better option than the Meadows School. This is the kind of school that parents in Los Angeles, San Francisco or NYC have to jump through hoops to get their kids into, with massive politics and financial commitments at play. Yet in Vegas, many parents (including on our street) send their kids to Dawson due to its reputation for being easier and more artsy as they are terrified of the academic competitiveness of Meadows. If these same parents were in the Bay Area they'd be doing backflips trying to get their kids into the same sort of school there as Meadows. The campus is amazing. The curriculum is challenging. The kids are happy and very engaged in sports, theater, charity and other after-school activities. The parents are friendly and, especially the "Meadows Moms", work tirelessly to help out. Yes, your kid has to test into each school (K, middle, high). Great, we love a meritocracy rather than forced social promotion. And my daughter will have friends for life as she goes from K thru 12 here.

The current sophomore class experienced a loss of several long-term students between freshman and sophomore year. For a small school like Meadows, that is meaningful. These were not families simply passing through; they had been part of the Meadows community for years. When several long-term families leave from a class in one year, it raises questions about their experience and what is happening within the school community. In my view, the current administration is a major concern. I have also seen changes in the sense of community, along with the loss of long-standing families, faculty, and traditions that once made Meadows special. What is most disappointing is seeing a school that once felt so stable and connected become a place where long-term families are no longer staying. That kind of change doesn't happen without a reason, and it deserves to be recognized.

Since it is a smaller school, teachers can get to know students better and provide more individual support. This makes it incredibly easy to build connections and bonds for any future college letters of recommendation! Trinity also currently offers great academic opportunities, including Dual Enrollment from a local college, they allow students to take college courses and earn college credits while still in high school. There are also honors classes, clubs, student leadership, community service, and different school events. Overall, it's a supportive school that gives students many opportunities to grow academically and personally.

We aren't active Catholics, but we agree with most Catholic teachings and really appreciate the values the school reinforces. Most importantly, my kids feel loved and cared for here. I went k-8, the teachers and principal acted like bullying was something from a movie, they refused to punish a kid in my class because his parents would donate tons of money and they didn't want to lose check. More in-depth with that kid he would constantly harass every body and even do some inappropriate things to the girls in my class and I mean it was very very inappropriate. The elementary teachers were fine, but the middle school teachers would yell at you for every single thing (except the math teacher), my English teacher yelled and started shaming me but when the smarter kids mess up worse then me she just say it's fine. Also the P.E/spanish teacher she would barely teach real Spanish, half the time she would just make up her own words, for P.E she always picks the strongest boys when playing anything that requires a captain. At least the principal was nice but she still favored that kid and defended him even when she still sees him threatening or harassing students, he even made a threat but no suspension or expulsion.

My middle school-age daughter really enjoyed going, and we loved the small class sizes. She went her entire 6th-grade year with no issues. I was the President of the PTO and spent hours of my own time and hundreds of dollars to support the school. This year, she had a few minor issues related to her autism and tic disorder come up that were completely blown out of proportion, and within a month she ended up being kicked out. She was not a bully and not violent. They did very little to work with her, and when we requested supports and accommodations they were refused. We have a pending discrimination case open with the state of Nevada and will be filing a complaint with the Nevada Department of Education. We are devastated with how this was handled. Though they claim to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for all students, this was not the case with us and it has happened to other families as well. Be wary of this school!
