I graduated here in 1987. I went back in 2011 and told the students a lot has changed: "Western used to have lockers, a smoking area, a salad bar, archery, Driver's Education, and white people." They would then laugh and point to the white kids, usually a Zach, Holden, or Madison. We had "International Day" way back then, but it was pretty weak: white folks trying to flaunt their 12.5% Irish or Italian ancestry. Now EVERY single day is International Day at Western. Alumnus Tiger Woods alone was International Day. I hate political correctness. Orangeview Warriors changed to the Panthers, and Western wasn't always the Pioneers. Prior to 1957, they were the Eskimo Hunters. Look it up. It could be true. We had the best cheers. "W! W! E-S-T! E! E! E-R-N!". What's that spell, the cheerleaders would ask. Wwesteeern. It spells Wwesteeern, people. This illiterate cheer was obviously before Western became a two-time Distinguished School. So, per my alma mater, I will always remember dear ol' Western. And be firm in loyalty. I swear. Firm. Just give me a minute- this never happens to me.

I'm wondering who's responsible for ,this graduation parking.. employers ..are they getting paid or they are just volunteers?. Getting in was , very organized how about.. getting out..they were all sitting down . while traffic was.. a night mare.. how about next time. You guys , had more organization, this can caused accidents.

Da learnin here is da bes, dem der teachers cares bout Kidz... Jokes aside the school has twice been recognized as a destinguished school. Many teachers arrive early and leave late. Several of us buy required resources from our own pockets w/o hesitation . Just like most things in life ..plant a seed and you will be rewarded

Oh western high school! I absolutely had an amazing experience here! The one thing that truly stood out to me was how diverse it was! So many students coming from so many different backgrounds! And the teachers are wonderful and so helpful!

This was my son's first year attending Orangeview and it has been a bit of a rollercoaster. Having…read moreto change schools, leaving his friends behind was tough and challenging for him. But with the support of his parents and teachers he has seen great improvements and we are very optimistic that he is now in the right path to maintaining academic performance. The teachers have done a great job communicating with us using the ParentSquare app, allowing us almost live access to class content, events, grades and homework. We are very happy to see the efforts to integrate and nurture social interaction and knowledge. This past December we had the opportunity to attend the Winter Concert where my son was part of the Choire. We were so excited and happy to see the event. Thank you Miss Joy Reyes, for your great work!

We…read morereluctantly sent him there because of the proximity to our home and I can say that I'm glad he ended up here. All of the staff that we've interacted with have been wonderful. My son loves his teachers and has a lot of pride in being a panther. Specifically, I'm impressed by the work of the instrumental music teacher, Mrs. Reyes. The amount of growth the program has seen since last year is quite remarkable. Music programs are so important and are a great experience for kids. I'm so glad my son got to have that experience.

Yay! I'm a fan. :) Anyways,…read more.. SO MUCH STUFF HAS CHANGED!!! Still going to Oxford, here! :) They got rid of black and gray pants, no black sweaters/jackets, etc. REALLY???!!!! Anyway, it's actually not that bad... I think some teachers might need a little more friendliness (coughcoughenglishcoughteacherscoughcough) but there are many teachers that are nice and really transformed my career! (almost spelled that one wrong :)) although the little 7thgraders might feel a bit bullied around. XD i confess! i do it once in a while. but...yeap. It's fun, in a way, that once you get out of 7thgrade, you can kind of push the 7thgraders around, and then the 8thgraders, then movin' on up. Good memories from here, although it's A LOT different than Class of '03, though. Kids should really come here! (There's way too many stereotypes here about asian kids, though) XD It's nice at Oxford. Sports and clubs are fun, too. :) YEAH!!! I just read the other review... everyone DOES cheat. It's really funny, because in the mornings, there's these bunches of groups of "cool people" scrambling to finish their homework due that day. And most students ARE dumbbells!!!!!!! SO TRUE! :) And, no worries, kids will NOT find sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll here. People going to other schools are NOT lucky. Pooey for them, they didn't get into Oxford. Wow. That was FUN. :) (I mean writing this whole thing)

Alamitos intermediate school is a weird school during my 7th grade year going to 8th grade year…read moreAlamitos kids are literally racist and homophobic like I'm a person of color, I got called the N-word many times and it was horrible. This principles at this school are horrible when I had problems with kids they literally never helped me but when I went to the counselor she literally helped me fix the problem and didn't leave the problem alone until we got along. The male teachers at Alamitos are mad creepy and sometimes scary the P.E. teachers always stare at the girls and favorites like 5 kids. The girl teachers at Alamitos are amazing! This school has so many fights and so many instagram accounts like ship pages or bad talk pages. This school dress codes certain people like if your skinny you won't get dress coded but if your plus size you'll get dress coded. And lastly the homophobia in this school the kids act live being apart of the lgbtq+ community is a bad thing , they think is a joke, they say the F slur and if you don't know what it is google is free, but that isn't the point they just treat lgbtq+ kids horrible. This school isn't the best but hopefully this school improves when I'm in my 8th grade year! (This school deserves 3 stars)
