So I had an induction 5/8/25 and the staff was amazing on the 3rd floor. Nurses Sydney Overton and Taylor Abrams were my nurses and they made sure all of my needs and questions were catered to - that being my first induction out of my three kids. They called my doctor when I had questions or needed permission to start epi or pitocin. The anesthesiologist came to my room for my epi promptly, another came back to increase my dose when active labor started and it got intolerable. They reminded my husband post birth to visit the cafeteria for food before it closed at 3 am (I gave birth @0121). The upstairs, 4th floor wasn't as good of an experience with the nurses - it seems like that's where they put the underdogs bc they seemed not to be able to handle as much pressure or needs of a laboring woman just from my experience with them. Some were too timid and hovered, some were too direct when their opinion wasn't asked for, but I had great experience with the housekeeping and chefs who made sure I ordered food and got my food timely and made sure my room was cleaned. The coffee was actually great from the floor and drinks and snacks were stocked. The food from the cafeteria was great! I had oatmeal, chicken parm, broccoli, Mac n cheese, chicken tenders, fried fish, curly fries at different times. Overall, I had a great experience for the first time out of my 3 kids (I gave birth at NMCP with the first two so my standards are probably very low) and I'm grateful. I've seen horrific reviews too and I am sorry to those women. To anyone who may be seeking to deliver here, I hope you are treated as well as I was. I know some mothers are scared of a terrible experience, but come in with an open mind and friendliness and you may be treated so well.

She used to be great, but perhaps she has gotten busy and lost her quality of care. It takes months and months to get an appointment and you cannot schedule with another doctor in the practice if you are in a jam. I went in on June 19 and today, July 5, I'm still chasing down numerous prescription REFILLS. In fact, none are at the pharmacy and someone that just looked at my chart, only sees 1. I was told to arrive 20 minutes early and then waited almost 55 minutes for the doctor. No problem. Honestly. Here's the problem. When I didn't have my prescriptions 10 days later, I was told by her nurse, "I don't need to know what you and Dr. Brawley talked about; I need to know what you need." That is a quote. When I told her she was being rude, she told me, she wasn't rude. She was busy because she had a patient to see. This did not sit well with me in light of the time I patiently waited. It's Friday, at almost 2 and I'm sure I'll go another weekend without my prescriptions. Do yourself a favor and skip this practice. It's a shame because Miss Amy that draws blood drives from NC and she's amazing! The girl that sits on the right (can't remember her name) is fabulous if you can get lucky enough to get her on the phone. She pulls the voicemail, so I'm almost thankful when I do leave a message.

After searching and searching I found this practice and Dr. Peter Laplace through word of mouth. I am ever so glad that I did. Staff here is so friendly and helpful. I am never confused about any of the policies or billing. Appointments are easy to schedule and they even have an online patient portal for you to view your records and care plans. Having struggled for several years with a few chronic issues I am finally at a place in my physical and mental health where I'm not just getting by but am happy and on a road to healthy. This is all credited to Dr. Laplace. He listened to my issues and concerns and guided me to the best recovery path. No throwing meds at me and moving on to the next patient! We thoroughly went over the short term and long term goals and plans. Healthcare is a vital part of life and having a doctor who listens and cares is paramount to receiving the best Healthcare. They have a rotation of all women doctors and nurse practitioners that you'll see, and I never saw the same one twice. I absolutely loved two that I met, Dr. Randolph and FNP. Javier. Both kind, didn't rush our appointments, answered all my questions, and it felt like they genuinely cared. I can say there were two that I absolutely disliked, from their condescending attitudes to their awful bedside manners. I thankfully never saw them again, and neither were on rotation for my birth. Dr. Butts, whom I didn't see during my pregnancy, delivered my baby. She was great. Very calm, and professional. I actually really liked her, and I'm glad she was the one who delivered my baby. I had a great experience. The front desk girls are helpful and kind, and though some were training, they immediately went and asked others for help when they weren't sure. When trying to make an appointment or reach the office, I wouldn't try calling after 4, because very rarely did I get someone to answer.
