I love coming to this place, it has become quite family friendly (they don't allow smoking inside the building). There is a sit down restaurant (Grills Gone Wild) that serves a variety of food. The snack bar has what you would expect (tater tots, pizza, hot dogs, soda etc.) and is the only place you can order pizza. There are regular bowling lanes and VIP bowling lanes. There are three bars: one right beside the VIP bowling lanes, one in the middle which is away from the bowling lanes, and one by the snack bar. The prices to play the games are affordable and most nights there are specials. If bowling isn't your thing they offer plenty of games (using a game card) they are mainly on the same side as the kids party room. The one thing I wish they would do is deliver the food to the bowling lanes. I spent more time waiting for my food/pizza than actually bowling with my friends, which was a bummer. Family outing. My oldest son wasnt excited about bowling. I got gum on my shoes and had to swap them right off the bat. Almost ordered a pitcher of beer but the selection was not for us. After setting up the lane we tried to add bumpers for our 2 littler sons but that was a fail. They have laser tag so that was our attempt to save the night. We had about 15 minutes between. So we thought play games, the air hockey kept getting stuck and the games just kind of kittie-ish. Laser Tag was a blast! But my son told me later one of the men on another team, grabbed his gun and shoved it away once my son shot him. Wish we would have known then! But we would do Laser Tag again. read more

This place is awesome. The largest and best bowling alley in Amarillo. Friendly staff, daily bowling specials, snack bar, bar, pro shop, arcade and laser tag area. This place is big, really big with over 50 lanes and even a private 6 lane party area. This place is amazing even if you don't know how to bowl. Nice family environment. I always bring my little cousins here to burn a few hours. They have a mini restaurant inside so dinner is taken care of, arcade and did I mention glow-in-the-dark bowling! They more than 30 lanes so don't worry about it being to packed cause I don't see that happening. My daughter and her cousins wanted to come bowl unfortunately they do not have an opening for my kids lanes are empty they said they are for a tournament? Awesome $12/person Thursday night deal for unlimited games of bowling + 1 hour of unlimited games in arcade including laser tag! So stinking fun!! There are 46 bowling lanes so rarely a wait. We are in from out of town and wanted something fun to do. It was a Thursday night. Wasn't very busy but the staff was friendly. Only thing I was disappointed in was it was around 11 and my husband and I wanted to get something to eat to take back to the rv, as we've been traveling and didn't feel Like cooking. They serve breakfast all day! Step back in time (I kind of expected Walter Cronkite to be on the TV saying "This just in from Dallas, Texas...") and enter the Western Bowl Restaurant. Lots of regulars, waitresses that have worked there for decades and really good, inexpensive food! The enchiladas looked really good as did the hamburgers, but breakfast is the way to go. read more

This is a good bowling alley alley, I personally feel that the laser tag room was a waste of the owners money. People get easily irritated having to wait hours to bowl. Ok have heard people away I there was another alley on the south side of town, they would go there to bowl. read more

Western Bowl has improved. Less cigarette smoke, it looks cleaner and the Friday catfish at the restaurant was very good. Still a little pricey but I felt less irritated by the cost due to the reduced smoke intake for my kids. read more

This place has 60 lanes, so there is always room to find a lane. It's got a restaurant, arcade, and sports bar. Unfortunately, coming from a different town I was used to certain things being better. The software used to keep score seems ancient and was hard to get used to how to read it. Most of the seating where bowlers sit, there is no food & drink allowed. There is seating further behind where you can eat and drink, but that is pretty far back. Also, in order to get alcoholic drinks you have to go to the sports bar and then bring the drink back out. The place could certainly use some upgrades. That being said, it's still an acceptable place to bowl, and I'll go there every time I get the urge to bowl. read more

Do not let the fact that this is a restaurant in a bowling alley scare you. I actually did not want to go in for breakfast but was shocked to find that it was not bad. If you are not a local or are not wearing overalls expect to be stared at for a few seconds as you enter. Once this is over you are good. The water in Amarillo is not good so order juice for breakfast. The grapefruit juice was a good choice. The food was in very large quanities and cheap! I had pancakes, grits, and rye bread toast. The lane inconsistencies are a little frustrating. The lanes on the west side always seem to be set up for a shot with very little, or no break. Seems to be set up for a sport shot. Quite frustrating for league play. The lanes on the east side have a more typical league shot, making it more enjoyable to bowl on that end. We've been told that the oil patterns are set up to be the same, but the differences to the bowlers says more than just being told they are the same pattern. read more

Customer service was lacking. We had a problem with a lane, waited 20 minutes for them to fix or even offer to move us to another lane, then we just left. No one apologized or acknowledge the problem as we were leaving. read more

The bowling alley was fun. If you don't have Epilepsy after 9pm, then you will have fun bowling in dim lighting with colored strobe lights. It was cool, but the worst game I have ever bowled. After we had bowled we went to the bar inside the bowling alley. First of all, the website must not be updated, so I would advise you to call and make sure the prices advertised on the website are correct. Secondly, the bar tenders seemed mad at something and were uh...cordial at best. It was like the bar tenders were throwing a party for their friends and everyone else wasn't invited. But for that, it was fairly pleasant, on the website they claimed to be changing their hours to 9p-1a, at least for (Wednesday) when we went. They closed at 12 midnight, stopped serving at 11:45pm. I never heard a "last call" nor did anyone at my table. Maybe it was too loud to hear over the 6 TVs and music, or they whispered. Any how, I was angry at the time and felt this would be more scathing, but for the most part I had a good time. They just seem to have Liar flyers and rude bar tenders, that must not depend on tips to make a living wage. read more
