According to court documents, John Savignano, of White Plains, conspired with co-defendant Rocco Manzione, who owned and operated several companies that sold concrete, to evade the assessment of individual income taxes. For the tax years 2012 through 2014, Manzione received income from his concrete companies but did not file individual returns with the IRS or pay the taxes due. In 2015, Manzione sought to borrow money in connection with the purchase of a condominium in Miami. As part of the loan application process, the financial institutions requested that Manzione supply three years of filed tax returns. Thereafter, Manzione contacted Savignano, who helped him prepare and file false individual tax returns with the IRS that substantially underreported Manzione's true income. In total, the conspiracy caused a tax loss to the IRS of more than $400,000.

Why wouldn't an accountant know that? Next, that same accountant did not inform me that I was missing a paper from my pension. I only just retired and I didn't realize that I didn't include it with my other sources of income. Of course I had to pay a penalty. Stuart, the owner, encouraged me to file for a one-time abatement, since it was the first time I defaulted on my taxes. He told me that my penalty wouldn't really accrue very much interest, and I'd probably be granted the abatement. Well, I wasn't. My interest on the penalty was substantial. He was wrong on both accounts. He avoided my calls many times and never would call me back. So disappointing and unprofessional.

Okay, May be he was right about my previous accountant but my previous accountant works for a huge company and has a lot of happy customers. Here is my revised review after we spoke on the phone today: I left my previous accountant because Alex was recommended by my friend and it was close to my new office. Alex has a bad attitude, during our short conversations he mentioned several times how good he is and that he-makes me a favor by doing my taxes because he works with much bigger businesses. He priced to do my personal and business taxes $1000(small company)which I was happy to pay(the same amount I paid to my previous accountant for several years). That year he forgot to do w-form (for my personal) which I had to do later when I figured that we missed this which is understandable, we all make mistakes). Next year he did exactly the same amount of paperwork but price went up from $1000 to $1550, after I questioned him why, he starred at me and said that it was a lot of extra work(extra work for 2020?! Lol, covid time, everything was slow). I left and called him an hour later to make it clear what kind of extra work he was talking about, he said I will refund you $550 but you should find another accountant. Such a waste of time...Final thoughts, rude, unprofessional, always rushing you(could not really ask questions, after you ask him anything he answers quickly and short and then and right after follows "is that's all?") This guy makes you feel that you owed him money. Would never recommend due his attitude and unpredictable charges.

Last year my tax return was "mistaken" direct deposited into someone's (a client of RTS (someone they confirmed they knew)) cash app account. After a year of waiting and contacting the IRS it was confirmed that this individual received both my state and federal tax return (over $18,000). Blake started that Carlos (owner) told him that this was his mistake. Blake started making payments to repay the stolen funds. He stopped making payments in June and stated that he no longer works for RTS. To date I have only been paid back $7,000. I have contacted Blake and Carlos numerous times and have gotten no results.
