I have wasted so much money on quick weight loss techniques my whole life! After hearing about hypnosis from a friend who had a session with Dr. Bob and had nothing but great reviews, I figured, why not give it a try!!! My first session with Bob went really well, I felt relaxed, very comfortable and open to giving this a try. I agreed to (without any pressure from Bob) to try two more sessions. Each session went really well and in between each session was where I noticed changes I was making to show this really works! I work from home and always ordered out, over ate and just really never watched my portions. After my first session with Bob was where I started noticing the changes, from going out and being on the road past dinner time I had no urges to pick up fast food or order anything out, there was no doubt and not even a question in my mind I had to go home and eat my own food. I scaled back ALOT on ordering out since my sessions, now that I think about it, I think I only ordered once for delivery! The greatest shocker to me is for the last few weeks since my sessions I have had NO weight gain on weekends, or from going out to eat or from attending parties! I went to Bob 13 months ago to help me quit smoking. I left his office resolute and haven't had a drag of a cigarette since. I smoked for 20 years, 10 of which I was trying to quit. It was a two hour session. 1 hour conversation and 1 hour of therapy. I've never been hypnotized before and according to Bob I was in and out of a relaxed state a few times. The use of imagery and talking through my goals and reason for quitting was enough to make it easy to turn down every opportunity to smoke since. made an appointment for 3:00 on a monday (waited 2 weeks for appointment) - was given the instructions "call when you arrive". i arrived 5 min early, called, no answer, left message. called at 3:00, no answer, left message. called at 3:05, no answer, left message. called at 3:10, no answer, left message saying i would be leaving at 3:15 if i didn't hear back. didn't hear back after 20 min of waiting - left. called wed to find out what happened and possibly make another appointment if it was just a miscommunication. bob took no responsibility, no apology, no consideration - basically blamed me for not waiting. he said he was "right there", and "was in a session - sometimes these things run long." if he had told me that when i made the appointment, i wouldn't be so disappointed. very irresponsible. and i really needed someone.... read more

At the risk of overselling, Bob changed my life. I've suffer from lifelong, chronic medical conditions, and in a "chicken or the egg" situation, also a raging needle phobia. I've tried for 25 years to get any kind of relief from this fear, to no avail. I've tried behavioral therapy, taken enough anti-anxiety meds to take down a small horse, learned biofeedback, and kind of just hoped I'd grow out of it. But nothing has worked. I went to Bob for just three sessions, hugely skeptical that anything would ever help, but to my shock (and the shock of my husband and father who have witnessed this first hand for years), it did help. Instead of crippling anxiety for days or weeks knowing I'll be stuck with a needle, I have what's probably a much more normal amount of anxiety - just a few seconds between when they whip out the antiseptic and actually make the stick. In probably the most shocking thing that has ever happened I was also able to administer a necessary self injection while away from friends and family, without passing out, and without needing to ingest copious amounts of anti anxiety meds (or wine). Honestly, I'm a total believer and couldn't recommend Bob highly enough. And it's not as weird as you think it's going to be. You're not "out of it" (which I was admittedly nervous about), or out of control of yourself in any way. It's not entertainment hypnotism at all.
