It has felt so relieving to find her and know I am under great care. She is so thorough and really takes the time to listen to you. She is also a great teacher and extremely knowledgeable. I have had so many questions and she has helped me understand myself, the medications and the process of treatment. She really seems to care. Doctor Welby also has a phone number for her patients to contact her through text or phone if needed. It has been so helpful to be able to text her and get reply's! She goes above and beyond in her treatment. She has two locations, Fairfield and Milford which is actually really helpful!

I did find a PAYING job and Dr. Mekles is very supportive and shows real interest. With Dr. Mekles - I'm able to taper my benzodiazepine slowly - with lots of support from the doctor. He's very patient and is very understanding and knowledgeable about withdrawal symptoms. He didn't push me - but prodded me to do this vital step The secretary is very helpful. She answers text messages immediately - to assist with medication renewal requests and appointment changes - when needed. The provider did not review the data we submitted, then sent us for further testing that we later realized was repeated testing and ultimately we couldn't use any of the evaluation from NYC Psychiatric Associates for the school meeting (in two days) because it has been deemed invalid because the same testing had been completed four months earlier by the school and due to the time frame was invalid. We sent records from many different sources, and it is now our understanding had they actually reviewed that data the testing they recommended wasn't even warranted. We spent a lot of time and energy on these providers. They are kind, but ultimately careless, not thorough, and incompetent. Ultimately the "results" hurt our case with the school who we have already had many struggles with. What they provided us with was literally not usable and we told them many times what we had hoped to accomplish with that documentation. Now they say "we provided the diagnosis" and dismiss the other reasons we went to them. Justifying everything, and it was expensive. My family invested in it! They did not review all of the testing from other providers, and had they done so it is now our impression they should not of recommended further testing because it was unnecessary. My family feels like we were provided poor guidance, our concerns for our daughter were capitalized on for profit. We requested a refund since the documentation could not be used at the school as we had told them we needed multiple times (even sharing concerns it could not be the same testing multiple times) and I have multiple emails in my inbox in which they justify the quality of their work saying "we have her a diagnosis" - then minimize and deny the validity of the concerns we have posed regarding the entire experience, and they are refusing to refund us. They have offered to revise the documentation, but I have already submitted what they originally sent me to the school. They have lost credibility, and so have we. It has already been dismissed by the school as unusable. The school meeting is tomorrow, and the "magic bullet" we thought we had invested in is a ZERO and a major hit to our bank account. The staff seem very sweet well meaning, but results are NIL. Cold competence that gets results is far better than the lip service we received. They seem as though they genuinely care, but at the end of the day the results did not get us what we needed for our daughter. The staff seemed kind, but the competence simply wasn't there. Reviewing available data is important to the process and *standard in this field and it shocked us the way things have transpired. 100% unprofessional. When we had issues, I had to ask many many times before a supervisor ever even got back to me. A literal nightmare. This has now been a back and forth email for over a week with no refund in sight. I'm sick of this situation, and we are already so stressed addressing things with the school this has just been another problem. They knew we had limited resources walking into this, and we feel used and burnt out and like we have less faith in providers of this caliber than we did when we walked into this situation looking for help. I encourage you to strongly question any of the recommendations they give you and "evaluations" they recommend and whether or not that is even warranted. If you have alternate providers that you trust, I would start there instead. They profited off of a vulnerable child and scared family in out experience... and when they made mistakes, they doubled down. Not a place I would invest in to help my child

I have had many experiences with psychologists and psychiatrists since I was eight years old (I am 65 now. I stumbled upon these intelligent, intuitive practitioners in 2020, when Covid hit and connecting with any type of doctor was almost impossible. I have three adult children who have been in therapy off and on throughout their lives, so as a parent and a patient, I know that there are an enormous amount of therapists who practice under differing degrees, who are utter idiots. These practitioners are truly dangerous. People seek psychiatric care when they are at their most vulnerable and are suffering. These patients walk in to a therapist's office and place their trust on the laps of a person who proclaim themselves as informed, intuitive therapists who can provide help. I can spot an idiotic therapist within ten minutes of conversation. Not one of the people who work, in any capacity at TMS of Westchester and TTC Psychiatric fall into the previously mentioned category. I was stunned by the high level of respect, caring, integrity and intuition of every person who works there. It is a horror that there are so many people practicing as any form of therapist who do not continue to educate themselves, due to laziness, arrogance or believe that they know it all and need never again have to learn anything from anyone. The practitioners at TTC Psychiatric and TMS of Westchester are all clearly continuing to be informed, by reliable sources, In all of my personal experience as a mother and patient have never before I encountered such a remarkable group of people as those who work at TMS of Westchester and TTC Psychiatric.

She truly has a humanistic approach and you can tell that each of her patients means a lot to her. The most miraculous part is that she takes medical insurance (as most psychiatrists now a days do not - especially addition specialists). She is in high demand, so you need to book your appointments a month in advance, but I assure you it's worth the wait. She responds quickly to texts, calls and voicemails and has a ton of informational resources to share with her patients. She also has an office in Midtown East. Don't waste anymore time, call her if you need help.
