Opportunities for some tight shots and rolling/slopping greens. However, it is a typical country course where few golfer own a ball marker repair tool and even fewer use it. The course does take its name seriously. There are both pines and hills on every hole. There are enough different types of evergreens to satisfy any high school botany teacher. The combination of trees and hills makes it a great place for a late fall round. Make sure you load up on beverages, because water is not provided on the course. They do have beer cart girls throughout the summer. As with a lot of country courses there are some weird things regarding credit card purchases, like a minimum of $5 per purchase. They will give you the change if your purchase is less than $5. And you have to sign every receipt. Which seems rather 1995ish, but hey its southern Ohio. The course condition is usually in good shape aside from the 2-5 ball marks on the greens. The staff are friendly and pleasant.

It's not 1989 anymore you can't fool people with lazy practices. The salmon was seasoned and moist but judging by the appearance it was deep fried. The Aborio Rice appeared to be done well but old bitter (sauteed) greens really set it back. Burger was cooked perfectly, I started to smell rancid meat but determined it was the mushrooms that were causing the funk. I could have sent it back but I hate doing such. This review might seem passive aggressive but its just an accurate account. I plan to return to the course in the future. You really can't expect too much from golf food, generally speaking. The cajun chicken pasta was good. Breadsticks were generous. I liked the caesar salad too. Server was very friendly as well. Golf staff was very friendly as well. Over all good job!

This course is a nice public course with a few challenging holes…read more I originally complained about the way the course was run with the following review: The website says that the course is open at 6:30am. Evidently this depends on which employee happens to open the clubhouse. Earlier this week I showed up at 6:30, and was able to get out and play 9 holes before work no problem. It was a great time. Then today I show up with a buddy at 6:30am, thinking we would do the same thing. Nobody showed up to open the clubhouse until 7:00. There was an employee who was getting the golf carts ready, and we asked him if we could just get started and settle up when we got back. He said sure, no problem. Right when we were about to tee off, he came back and said some maintenance guy has a problem with it, so we waited. At 7:00am, finally the delinquent employee opened the clubhouse. We went in and tried to pay and get out on the course so we could fit 9 holes in before work, but he said the first tee time we could get out was 7:30, after the first tee time of 7:10. Complete bullshit. Nobody cared, just this delinquent employee who showed up to work late. What a waste of a morning. I also sent an email to the golf course management to complain, and I got a responsive professional apology along with 2 free golf passes from management. Glad that the Course is responsive and addressed the mistake/confusion. I've since updated my review from 1 star to 4 stars accordingly.

Like he was exercising some vigilante justice. This was literally my first time there. The executive tee boxes were just dirt piles and the first green didn't even have a hole cut on the green.
