I loved my experience at West Side Lofts. West Side Lofts is located on top of the West elm building in Red Bank and it is a great location centrally to everywhere. One of the brightest things about this area is that it's a five minute walk to downtown Red Bank and a one minute walk to the train station to New York City. While living next to the train station might be offputting to some I can tell you I practically never heard it when I slept. In terms of amenities, there is a basic gym downstairs. There's plenty of things to do throughout the building, such as a rooftop where you can host a small party and some guests and other things such as a pool table, foosball and other kinds of activities. The parking situation is very reasonable too. I live there from August 2024 to May 2025 and I left because of finding a house to live in. There was nothing wrong with West Side Lofts and in fact the transition to leaving before my lease end was really smooth as well. All of the management are very friendly and helpful. One awesome thing about the management is that they are constantly trying to engage the residents to hang out and meet each other. They host social events, such as mixers, and happy hours and other kinds of events throughout the building and the brewery downstairs. read more

My wife and I have been living at WSL for over 6 years now. We downsized from a 4 BR house nearby to a 2 BR apartment and have not regretted the move, simplifying our life in the process. We love the convenience and walkability of Red Bank and proximity to the train station if you want to go into NYC. We have made great friends in this building; it is a wonderful community, a blend of young professionals, families and retired folks our age. The office staff (Deneen, Cynthia, Chloe) are fantastic to work with, and any issues are immediately addressed. Our maintenance staff (Gonzalo, Flavio) are the best! Friendly, efficient, helpful and responsive to any needs you may have. We appreciate the amenities: covered parking, rooftop lounge for small gatherings, and the outdoor terrace with the best sunset views in Red Bank. We highly recommend WSL and thoroughly enjoy our Red Bank lifestyle. read more

I moved into the West Side Lofts exactly one year ago with my wife and have loved our first year. We just renewed for another year and plan to delay purchasing a home in the area because we love the management team, the residents and all the events that are held here for us. Adrian and the team do an amazing job in engaging all the residents and our requests, Flavio keeps the lobbies, open space and rooftop spotless and Angel is quick to fix anything that needs to be in the building or requests we may put in. I also enjoy how close we are to being in downtown Red Bank without being directly in the middle of the noise! Right away, when we have either friends or family over they are impressed with the building. Sickles Market opening and the West side picking up some awesome businesses and eateries, I would highly recommend the WSL to all my friends. Great place to call home! read more

My husband and I moved into West Side Lofts in June of 2015. We have lived in apartments for over 10 years in 4 different states. We were the first people to live in our apartment when it opened, therefore, I believe that we have a great perspective on the building. With this, I will divide the review into two parts: positives and negatives. Positives: - The people who live in the building are very nice. We have made some life-long friends from people we have met there. - The building is in close proximity to the train station. So, if you commute to the city, or like to go out in the city it is very convenient. - It is walkable to Red Bank town which has a lot of great restaurants and shops Negatives: - After our first year lease, our rent was increased by about 18%! This is outrageous considering between 3-5% is customary. We spoke to management about this as well as called the town who said that there was nothing that could be done since the building was new. - The management has changed hands multiple times and each group is as dysfunctional as the next. Although Tara is very nice and does her job well, the other managers (especially Selena) have been rude and condescending, making it impossible to have a professional conversation. They do not work as a team to get things accomplished. There have been multiple times when emails have gone ignored and dismissed, even in cases of building security. - On the subject of building security, there have been multiple times when there have been people sleeping in the stairwell or roaming the halls of the building. When this was brought to the attention of the managers, many emails by people in the building were ignored and others received a response to simply "call the police." There was limited mention of steps that the management was going to take to make the building more secure. - The furnishings in the apartment are no where near "luxury." The floors have large bubbles that develop that need to constantly be fixed. Handles fall off of the refrigerator and the ceilings and windows leak during heavy rain. - A crack developed in our window towards the end of the fall. After multiple conversations with the downstairs management (my husband needed to go downstairs every week), the window was not fixed till the end of the winter (over 4 months). At this point, bacteria and mildew had formed in the space between the window panes. - We were told that the brewery that is attached to the building would open a few weeks after we moved in. By the time we moved out in June 2017, the brewery was no where near being finished after we dealt with the noise and construction for 2 years. - Snow removal is a huge problem. Although we did not have any large storms while we were there, the moderate snow accumulation did not go addressed until 24 hours after it fell. This made it impossible for people to leave the garage and get out if needed. - Lastly, we moved out on June 10, 2017 and our lease ended on June 12, 2017. By NJ state law, it is required that the deposit be returned within 30 days. Close to the 30-day mark, we informed management that we have not yet received our deposit back. Those 30 days quickly turned into 40 days without reimbursement. After many arguments with the management, even more excuses and a conversation with our attorney. Our money was returned at the 45 day without an apology or a late fee. I explained to the management that, if this were the other way around, we would have incurred late fees, sent to collections and even a notice for eviction. We found this extremely unacceptable behavior for a luxury building. In conclusion, we will not recommend anyone to live in this building. In the past, 8 of my colleagues from the local hospital have lived here directly from my recommendation. They have all moved out for similar reasons listed above and well as all of my friends whom I made in the building. read more

West Side Lofts is located in the best area of Red Bank. The management team, residents and neighbors are the BEST !!!!
