This place has everything you need for fun and exploring the coastal waters of the Keys. We…read morepurchased a dry bag, water shoes, and a long sleeve water shirt for my husband to use while adventuring in and on the water. The staff (Anna and Thomas) were super helpful and friendly. The next day we returned for the 3+ hour Mangrove Tunnel kayak tour and absolutely loved the experience! Suri was our guide and helped us to understand the basics of kayaking. She was engaging, intelligent, and knowledgeable about the bay, reef, mangrove trees, fish, and other wildlife. We started in the bay and quickly made our way through water paths, and narrow tunnels of mangrove trees -- which was SO beautiful and peaceful. It was almost like being a kid again -- exploring secret passageways and I even got to jump into the water -- ocean water, which was so refreshing and wonderful. We had a great time and Suri even took photos of the whole group and airdropped them to us later so we had a memory of our time on the ocean and in the mangroves. We'll always remember this adventure as a highlight of our Florida Keys trip. If you're debating whether to do this or not...don't hesitate! We felt that our kids (13,19,25) would have loved it had they been with us.

The mangroves tour is a beautiful experience in Nature. Our guides were not great. There was an older woman in the group who could not keep up and only after I expressed my concern about her did they double back and help her. No kayaking instruction, no nature instruction other than what not to touch under the mangroves. The guide played music and paddled away over and over at a rate that left the novice paddlers far behind. Consider checking skill levels of the group, stopping for regular check-ins, perhaps teaching about nature a bit?

Hands down the best summer camp in Miami. (They just sold…read moreout for summer camp 2019' in 15 minutes, so hopefully you are looking at this review for one of their other fun activities.) My kids have done Girl Scout kayaking events with them and summer camp before. This is the cure to the iPad. The cure to the Xbox. The cure to Fortnite. If you are looking for supervision to go along with the words "Go outside and play", this is it. Summer Camp: Broken up into surf and turf options. The first 3 weeks of summer camp is water heavy. Snorkeling and kayaking near the mangroves and in the canals. (Swim test required.) They bike everywhere. (Bicycle and helmet required. You can still be on training wheels, but a lot easier if you teach your kid to ride a bike.) I mean, like 10 miles round trip in a day is nothing. They take care of animals (snakes, tarantulas, bearded dragons, mice...) They hike and explore and take notes. Rain or shine. Your children will sleep fantastically. You really need to check out their site to see the afterschool options. The family outings that are available all year long. Options for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and just active kids with parents in the know.

When I first came across Nature Posting my children were just starting their homeschool year and…read moresadly, we weren't able to join because there were no more slots available; however, that didn't stop us from trying to join. We kept trying to join other opportunities, such as the summer camp sessions and as a previous reviewer mentioned within 15 minutes the sessions were full. I finally was able to get one of my kids to attend a summer camp session and she had the best time. Now both my children have had years of helping out as volunteers and I am so thankful for a place like Nature Postings.
