The Pharmacists seem to change on a regular basis and the current lady is quite pleasant if a little slow. They usually what I need in stock but if they don't then they usually get it in within a day so I can collect any time I want. They also offer a delivery service I believe which is free but as I've not used this I can't comment on it. The store is actually within the One Stop shop which can sometimes be a little confusing as you're not sure which products they sell on the shelves are theirs and which ones are the One stop shops. However the service is really good and I would definately recommend them.

They also sell a small selection of cards and oddly, they have a glass case of watches, etc, next to the counter. The staff are always polite and helpful. I recently dropped a pound coin under one the display units and one lady kindly helped me get it out. It's a shame the same can't be said for the pharmacy at the back of the shop. I have always found the counter staff and pharmacy assistants to be uninterested, unhelpful and at worst, rude. When I have asked a question they've rarely known the answer and when I've requested they check with the pharmacist it's been made quite clear that I'm expecting far too much from them. The pharmacists themselves have always been pleasant but the reaction from counter staff and the 40 minute wait for a prescription means that I no longer use this pharmacy.

I asked the young lad behind the counter for some advice and explained what I had been asked to asked. He said he couldn't asnwer and would get a Pharmacist. To his credit he came straight out, listened to my query, asked a good couple of questions and gave some really spot on advice. The Pharmacy team themselves seem to be very good from this transaction but the queue time and length of time to wait for a prescription was a bit off. If they really are this busy then how about taking on some more staff, I only saw two including the Pharmacist behind the counter and the next Pharmacy I went to to get the prescription (wasn't going to wait for nearly an hour), was half the size and had double the staff. I waited 15 minutes there.

There are many small sections which include; baby items, hair shampoos & dyes, deodorants, mens, cosmetics and medication. There is also a photo section there for all your developing needs. I have found that if I have any questions to which sort of medication I should take for minor ailments then they have been knowledgeable and have not just sold me the most expensive item. They carry a small selection of offers which are available at the bigger stores, but for any greater needs the Boscombe branch is 10 minutes away.

Prescriptions normally take ten minutes, and they are good at giving advice on anything else you may want to help your condition! There is usually a nice little clearence section next to the photo lab, which is always worth a look! Photo lab is the same as all boots stores! There is a very small no7 counter at the front of the store, and they tend to only have a limited range, if you are after limited edition bits forget it! A really friendly store, in part i suspect as some of the staff seem to have been working there for years!

Most people think that Superdrug is in competition with Boots, but in fact they are co owned. Superdrug has a good selection of goods; cosmetics, toiletries, electrical, and first aid. They also carry a range of perfumes. With the Boots loyalty card I don't see a lot of point in making purchases here anymore.

The in-store offers are always really appealing and at Christmas their range of gifts is impressive. Recently Superdrug's perfume area was moved and now unlike most perfume shops you are allowed to roam freely among the scents trying them as you please so none of the having to ask an assistant over and over again. The layout of the shop is easy to negotiate and understand but it can get busy at peak times like all shops in the town.
