Before the session, the massage therapist asked me to sign a form, which I understood to be a waiver. After the massage, I was surprised to find that I had been charged $140 for an Ashiatsu massage instead. I was not clearly informed beforehand that the type of massage was being changed or that I would be charged an additional $20. I still left a tip for the therapist, but I couldn't help feeling that the situation was handled in a misleading way. I called the location afterward to explain what had happened. I was told that they would speak with the manager and get back to me. It has now been over two weeks, and I still haven't heard anything back. The lack of follow-up has made an already disappointing experience even more frustrating. After being a loyal customer for many years, this experience has left me very disappointed. My chiropractor is Dr. Solanki and I can't really say I trust anyone else to crack my back and neck. Once someone has jerked your head to the side quickly to adjust your vertebrae, and you don't die, you feel a certain level of comfort with that person. So I can (without hesitation) recommend taking your chiropractic problems to the PULC and having a visit with Dr. Solanki. Aside from his skill as a professional, he's a good guy. Now a few extra details about the PULC. As far as I know there are more than one chiropractor at this office, but I never see them because of the time my wife and I both go (yes, she's a fan of Dr. Solanki as well). They are open on Saturday mornings but with reduced office staff. They also have on site massage therapists. The last time I was there I over heard the receptionist talking on the phone. "... all of our massage therapists are female." So for those of you out there who are calling around the city in an attempt to avoid a massage from a dude this could be your place! All doctors gave me strong western medicines with serious side effects which never worked. I visited Dr. Mark after researching acupuncture for acne. After meeting him, he was immediately able to identify the root of the problem. After only 5 acupuncture sessions, my acne was almost gone and the skin was smoother. My primary physiotherapist was Joanne. My first visit, she put me through several exercises to assess my injury. The next step was to go over recommended exercises to help with my recovery. She let me know that if I had any reservations about being in the common area with everyone else, they were able to set me up somewhere else. Not every physio facility is able to do that so this was definitely a bonus. Subsequent visits were more treatment oriented like using the TEMS machine and some soft tissue treatment. They had assistants of both genders and I was asked if I was okay being treated hands on by those of the opposite gender. The staff are all very pleasant and courteous. Very happy to have my treatments here.

Ming Fai Chan is the primary doctor here and is very experienced within joint pains, back pains,…read moreacupuncture and massage therapy with many many years practicing and has obtained an MD at University of Toronto and a lot of practice in China. He and his wife both run this clinic - they combine both western and eastern medicine and practices to treat a variety of bone and joint problems. His wife has experience in acupuncture and I heard she is very experienced as well. In the eastern culture it is believed that acupuncture, especially from a master, could be very impactful. From my experience, I've been having problems with my shoulder ever since I was young - this involves overstretched and stressed tendons in and around the joint of my shoulders. This causes occasional pain when doing exercises in certain angles that were bad for my shoulders or playing aggressive sports such as hockey or ultimate frisbee. I've been to a variety of doctors and physiotherapists who were unable to exactly diagnose to problem or help me heal it. Going to this clinic drastically improved my shoulder joints made it feel a lot better and essentially healed it. He provided me with exercises, medical patches and tips on to preserve the state of my shoulder. I recommend anybody with persistent joint pain anywhere on their body to go see this doctor, because he's very diligent and able to resolve the problem immediately. There are some caveats though that it's very expensive, this treatment cost me thousands of dollars and he doesn't speak English well because he primarily practices in Cantonese. His hours are flexible and the clinic works as a mix of walk-ins and appointments. During core hours you should be able to walk-in, but it's safe to make an appointment and the doctors are usually lenient and will try to accommodate you.

Chan Ming Fai is horrible. He claimed he was able to "pop" my bone of my spine back in and he DID…read moreNOT do this. Instead, after my adjustment, he caused a compression fracture that was not there before! I know this because the day after the adjustment/ manipulation, I felt so much pain with a fever, I went into emergency, they did an MRI of my spine and told me whatever Chan Ming Fai did (from comparison to my recent MRI), they could see that it was worse. When I went to a more well known chiropractor, he stated the manipulation Chan Ming Fai did on me (from my description of what happened), should have NEVER been done on anyone!! Chan Ming Fai IS TERRIBLE!!! Beware. Secondly, he disclosed other patient information to me. He showed me a patient's information form with the name, phone number, date of birth and their diagnosis and how he helped this person, this is unprofessional and illegal. In fact, as I write this, I am looking up how to report this. Lastly, some of the things he said did not make sense. I was desperate and made a mistake in believing him. I regret it. When I tell others, I find more people that is telling me their horrible experience and that he is a fake. Its one thing he cannot help you, it's horrible when he hurt you from his treatment and make you in a worse pain than you originally was suffering. He should not perform manipulations on people when he is unsure or inexperienced.

From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted by such a pleasant receptionist and this mood permeated to all the staff. I just want to make a special mention to my physiotherapist (Ms. Parmar) and her assistant. Their professional attitude and knowledge about my condition helped to relay any anxiety that I may have had about my treatment and outcomes. They both always took the time to ensure that I received a thorough treatment including exercises, ultrasound and TENS treatment. (And I can't forget to mention the soothing warm packs that were always applied to the involved areas, to ensure my comfort). Loved this! I always looked forward to my treatments knowing that when I leave, I would be in better condition than when I arrived. I am a retiree from the Nursing profession and I am fully aware of the professionalism and dedication that is required from health care practitioners when treating patients in a health care setting, so all I can say is......
