With something like 15 surgeries under my belt I've met more than a few medical teams! When the appointment is booked you receive an email with very comprehensive instructions, medical history forms and consent forms that can be filled in online, printed out and completed to be brought with you or you can arrive a few minutes earlier for help with the forms. if you have unique concerns they are addressed patiently and repetitively if needs be up to and including your arrival. I never felt rushed. No one was impatient. They have very apparently never lost sight of the fact that this is not your favourite way to pass a few hours! Everything on the health history was run through again. Everyone introduced themselves and explained their part in the procedure. I was very effectively put to sleep and I woke up about 90 minutes later feeling very fine and not at all groggy, though you will not be allowed to drive yourself home. This is also explained several times. I expected to be sleepy for the rest of the day. I did not feel at all drowsy. My husband was briefed on their findings. He was issued a summary of the findings and a follow up appointment for me. I will certainly be returning when these procedures are scheduled to be done a few years in the future! I was telling him I am here for a certain reason and that I wouldn't be here if I was alright. He basically told me it was all in my head and that there was nothing wrong with me. To this day that has mentally affected me and he did nothing to try and help me... he made things worse. I do not recommend going to see him as he has no customer service skills and doesn't care to help you.

I had no complications, minimal scarring, and a very fast recovery time. I very literally put my life into Dr. Sohi's hands and he did a fantastic job - how could I not give 5 stars? It's worth noting that his whole surgical team would get a 5 star from me too. This was the first surgery I ever had, and I was extremely scared, but his team were so reassuring and comforting that in those last few moments before I was knocked out by the anaesthetic I knew everything was going to be okay - and I can't express how important that feeling was. In recovery he came multiple times to check up on me, as well as before I left the hospital. He always takes his time with you in your appointments and follow-ups, even if he is running behind schedule or a bit pressed for time because he wants to ensure to be thorough. He doesn't sugar coat things and is very blunt, but I like that in a doctor! Seriously, I can't say enough good things about the guy. If you are going through the bariatric surgery process and are assigned Dr. Sohi as your surgeon, you can rest assured that you are in good hands!
