The challenge: Close adjacent buildings, high-voltage TECO power lines, a busy and fast-moving roadway and pedestrians continuously passing on the sidewalk. We got 4 estimates and Matt's was right in the middle. I called the City of Tampa Natural Resources Group and asked about him. He is highly respected as a professional and as man with integrity. That's all I needed to hear. We hired Matt and team. Watching these guys climb trees and cut them down piece by piece is not only amazing - it's nail biting! These guys have stones!! They work in complete harmony and each guy has his responsibility. After the pine trees were down, Matt proceeded to use his BobCat to clean up our parking lot and head off to the dump. When they left, the trees were gone and our parking lot was spotless! These guys are true pros AND they're polite and respectful. They show up on time and get the job done. For starters, instead of cutting the limb back to the tree, the cut it off at around 10 feet, for a dead limb. Two, they did not clean up the roof at all. Left crap everywhere and claimed "The contract doesn't allow us to clean up after ourselves." The top of the crop was them dropping the debris they did clean up right on the power box...... and half way into our neighbors driveway. Left stumps unfinished, and yard mess. Had additional work to get done, and they did not show up on they day they set up appointment and there was no call or communication to give us heads up. Good luck to have them honor appointments they set up, or answer your calls once they have left and you have paid them. Don't pay until you inspect very carefully what they have done and approve it. Expect nothing in terms of them fixing all aspects that need to be re-done properly or your property replaced or fixed. They will tell you "it happens". Had to get water pipe repaired after they left... didn't realize it was broken till after they left as it was storming and pouring rain when they left and several days after. Disappointed in post job treatment/ non service from them after ongoing calls, emails and texts to them, nada, crickets. However, they will call you and be in touch when they want to get paid. It's not always about what someone does, but also what they don't do and whether they have integrity or not. Actions speak louder than words.
