Beautiful tables.

I went to West End tonight for the first time since before COVID. I did not know what to expect because some places are just not the same as they were before. However, I was pleasantly surprised! I think that it is even better than before! The tables were in great shape! They were clean and the cloth was in good condition. The music was perfect for shooting pool, a nice smooth groove. The bartenders, Javon and Michael, were friendly, the drinks were great, and no complaints about needing a water with ice! I could not find a single thing to complain about! I will definitely be going back! Thanks, guys, for a great evening!

I sucked major balls tonight but I did prevail THRICE!!! YASSSSS! Had a great time after being out of the game for a few years. Scratch city!! Gave the game away several times!! Music is great!!! ALL generes played! Nice spot!! Decent tables--not used to the balls not dropping at one end of the table as opposed to them dropping in the picket in which they were sunk. Armosphere was lit!!-'!danced as much as I played!! ....Drinks or at least the LIIT was $12 and the tables are $9 per hour....Had so much fun!!

The bartender was really rude to my friends. Okay place but won't go back after seeing how they were treated. Lame.

If you don't trust me, check…read morethe other 20 one-star reviews describing the poor and discriminatory service provided by Chris Pope. Chris is a racist and demeaning bartender. I have been going to this establishment for several years, but I am now forced to avoid it on Thursdays (when Chris Pope works) because he is unreasonably rude and insulting. Even his own co-bartender begged him to, "not be an a--hole tonight," before the two of them fought in the back. It is incredibly disappointing and hurtful, and, frankly, it raises serious concerns about the bar's negligent--or, based on the copious negative reviews, reckless--retention of this employee. Zog's, an otherwise fine establishment, opens itself up to needless liability due to Chris' inability to perform his role without aggressive and embarrassing theatrics. Several other bartenders have called him out on his unacceptable service, including Daniel, but they all refuse to report it because they are afraid of the consequences. (If Daniel were the sole bartender, Zog's would likely have nothing except five-star reviews.) No one wants to work with him, and no one wants to attend this bar. Numbers are dwindling, and other patrons universally acknowledge that they, too, avoid Zog's solely because of Chris. I am keen on taking this further and will not relinquish my efforts until Chris Pope is let go. Zog's is a great establishment that is being ruined by his presence. For those disappointed by this result, Four Corners is a great bar just up the street! I would suggest going there, where the bartenders are courteous. I genuinely hope management takes these concerns seriously, because Zog's could be a great spot-just not on Thursdays.

But learn to love Doyles and it will become your second living room and the perfect place to play some bar games and drink. If you want pool, darts, ping pong, shuffleboard, fooseball, pinball they have it all. Depending on who is bartending (if its Chris you are in for a treat) there are often movies they picked out playing on the TV at the bar that you can chill and watch. Sometimes there are even video game systems available to play. What more could you want? Oh yeah drinks. Affordable drink special every night, though unfortunately that is somtimes domestics like coor lights. Fortunately their bottle selection is solid (highland gaelic, sierra nevada/torpedo being my favorite options) and they are always affordable at like 3 bucks a pop. If you want go stronger, their bartenders pretty much universally pour a drink that packs a punch. You won't be disappointed. Doyles is the place where you can go, get a buzz going and just relax and be yourself. There is no pretension here. They have a crowd of regulars who know each other but don't let that scare you. The bartenders are friendly and will make you feel right at home. Some problems I'll acknowledge are their drafts have been broken for a while and even while they were running they often had issues. Also If you want music you have to put money in the juke box which can get pricey if you come as often as we do. But overall, for a friendly dive bar they do it the way it should be done and I've seen many people I've brought get over their skepticism and fall for its charms. It should fairly be a 4-star, but I'll admit I am biased with my local watering hole and I can't not give it a 5.

Apparently, Bud Light Lime is the drink of choice for gay men here and ordering a Bud Light Lime will send the owner into a tirade and call you all sorts of homophobic names for some odd reason.

We made a reservation for a Saturday night dinner and he made sure we were well taken care of all night. We started the night with their James Bears award winning cocktails, and every drink we ordered was a hit! Spiced strawberry mule, Sunset Sipper, and the table favorite: Earl Please. The latter two drinks were mocktails and they were still standouts! As for the food, the Alley burger was perfectly cooked: juicy patty paired with truffle cheese and simple toppings that really highlighted the burger itself. And shoestring fries are always a good choice with a delicious burger. Ricotta gnocchi was also very good. As our server Anthony said, let's get this burger nominated!
