This place is unbelievable! I found the end table I wanted at the outlet store, but it was marked up to double the price! Even with a 40-50% discount, it still costs more than buying it online or at a regular West Elm store. It's shocking that this is legal and that West Elm allows such a scam. Always use Google search- to take a picture of the furniture and search for the actual price to ensure you're not being scammed. Essentially, they're trying to sell you a damaged item for full price, if not more. Also, if they're doing it, so are the rest of the stores! read more

PRICES FLUCTUATE ALOT. Love the store. The prices are all over the place thought. Example would be a jewelry box that my girlfriend got. Two exactly the same boxes on the shelf, one was 49$ and the other was 149$ and the original price was 199$. No difference in boxes? The staff is friendly and they have a good stock of supplies. Of you are coming from a distance away like I do coming from Charlotte, call ahead and see if they have what you want, they'll tell you. Updated Review. We really hit the furniture jackpot this weekend at West Elm. With the amazing Amanda we found enough furniture to move into a one bedroom apartment. This place can definitely be hit or miss. We have shopped on several occasions with no luck. Keep trying! read more

I am a huge West Elm fan! Since I bought my home seven years ago, I purchased my living room sofa and chairs, dining room table and chairs, family room coffee table, side tables for the master and guest bedrooms, guest room headboard, numerous sets of sheets, four duvet covers, crib bedding, picture frames, dinnerware, pillows, etc! I love this brand, and it's really helped me define my style. Needless to say, I was very excited to visit the West Elm Outlet store. I've wanted to visit one for years now, and my chance finally came when I was recently visiting Asheville with family. I cannot tell you how disappointed I was in this outlet store. There were several employees working, but no one offered assistance. The pricing ($999.98 clearance / $999.99 regular) was absurd. Even with a 40% off discount, I would much rather shop in a regular store with 25% off and also have the option of home delivery and be guaranteed an undamaged item. The merchandising was non-existent. Things were strewn haphazardly. I have a number of bedding items already, and even though I know the majority of what was on the shelves, it was still super overwhelming to try to look through. The quality was poor as many items were scratched and dented. I was in shock, and not in a good way. Though this outlet store hasn't tarnished my perception of the brand, I have no desire to return to an outlet location in the future. read more

Okay now imagine if Pottery Barn and IKEA had a baby...And that baby grew up in California. That baby is West Elm. West Elm is a sister store to Pottery Barn under the Williams Sonoma Group. There's a certain style to it - rustic and modern smaller pieces compared to PB. Really enjoyed browsing the store. This place is packed to the rafters. Some furniture is even stacked. I overheard one employee say the stock room looked like a garage sale. Well... I love garage sales!!! Bring that stuff to the floor!! Stock rotates quite a bit - so if you see something you like and it's a good price, just grab it - it may not be there next time. Lots of helpful employees trying to keep things neat. Always seems to be a sale for an additional percent off certain items. Big clearance section! read more

I can't say it enough- I love this store. Shelley, Amanda and the rest of the team are all a pleasure to work with. They are friendly, helpful and go above and beyond! They work diligently to get massive inventory trucks out weekly. I never know what new treasure I'm going to find when I visit. Today was the second time I've been in this store and something has been mislabeled and they won't honor the price on the tag. I've never had that happen anywhere else I've shopped. If it is ticketed incorrectly every place I've ever been has honored it. I've spent plenty of money with west elm and it's unfortunate that their customer service is so unaccomadating. Great at first glance, however most of the items in the outlet are damaged and not worth the price. Doors on cabinets not lined up, knobs missing, big dents in particle board furniture. Disappointed with the quality in relation to the prices. If I drop a few grand on a sofa, I want to feel confident that it's going to last a few years. read more

A lot of my furniture has come from this outlet. They have a great selection and the prices are usually quite good for the quality. They often have at least 30% off sales on top of the already marked down price, so I usually wait for those. The customer service has always been spot on as well. I'll keep coming here :) read more

It's not really a bargain, the quality is mediocre and most of the employees especially the ones who have been there a while are rude. After checking in weekly for a month for a kitchen table, chairs, small sofa and coffee table I'll be taking my money somewhere that knows how to treat it's guests. read more

I'm so happy that West Elm opened this clearance store in the area. The clearance section in the regular stores is usually pretty good, and this location is the same thing times a million. They have a TON of stuff. You do have to pick through it, there are a lot of items that are slightly damaged, or missing pieces. But lots of it is just stuff that didn't sell well in the regular West Elms. The stock changes pretty often, but they always seem to have good stuff available. Their sales can be pretty outstanding if you're there on the right day. Last time I was in, I scored a table lamp, a king size duvet cover and a huge picture frame for about $30 total. If you like the West Elm style, it's definitely worth a stop. read more

This is an outlet and I understand imperfections should be expected. Be Wary! As all sales are final I suggest a thorough inspection before the item leaves the store. We purchased a Natuzzi Re-Vive Leather chair in gray on Christmas Eve and unfortunately due to Holiday traveling did not actually sit in the chair until January 4th. The chair had no support and was definitely not ergonomic as described. When we unzipped the back of the chair we discovered that the spine was snapped in two and disconnected to the base. I have been shopping at the west elm outlet for the past three years and it is the best furniture and boutique store I've ever been to in my 47 years. The deals are outrageously good and the furniture and accessories are so hip and high-quality. But most importantly, the staff is WONDERFUL. From the cashiers to the people that load your furniture, everyone is so pleasant and helpful... even when the store is insanely busy which is often the case. I can't tell you how much I love Shelly, the store manager, who always greets me with a smile and kind offer to help. She will often assist me with securing great discounts, which is extremely helpful for my business and keeps my coming back. I wish I could say that the staff is treated kindly by all customers. Some customers behave like rude, impatient children and do not recognize the incredible deals they are getting at this outlet store. I've never encountered a single problem with the lovely, hard working staff at west elm outlet. Anyone who yelps otherwise is a complete jerk and lacking in basic human decency. read more
