So when I did, I went online and started at the top of the results page. I was amazed at the price these places were charging for such small units. Not to mention the awful conditions of most of them! Roberts Storage was not near the top of my results, but I finally made it down the list. I called them and was satisfied with their price.... Oh, and they were polite on the phone! I drove down and gave them a look. Not only did I rent a storage unit for my crap, but I ended up using them to store my car too! This place is clean, professional, and personable. They have a good security gate with keypad and locks are available if you need one (small additional charge). The owners are always driving through which made my crap feel safe too! They are expanding now so this place can only keep getting better! Certainly the only place to go in the area! You never want to hear the moving crew say "we should have brought a bigger truck." I hired movers…read morebecause my husband and and I are senior citizens and we could afford the cost of the movers. The quote was around $2500-$2800, but we were only charged about half of that because they ran out of truck before we ran out of stuff. One of the movers told me they didn't like moving televisions, couldn't I just take that 80" TV in my car because they didn't have the proper equipment with them to move them. They made one load and we spent the next 4 days lifting and moving stuff in our vehicles--something we tried to avoid by hiring movers. This service was not worth the high cost of having to move things ourselves. We had used the service twice before, but never again.
