Tabasco isn't my favorite hot sauce but it's one I turn to regularly. It's certainly the most popular and it's got some heat to it, but to me it mostly tastes like "fire." I don't find the flavor particularly deep or satisfying. It tends to overwhelm the flavor of the food I put it on rather than act to bring out the food's own flavors. Other people love it and it is the default in restaurants when you ask for a hot sauce. So I will use it for things I find it works well with, like scrambled eggs and of course, buffalo wings. I don't know that I'll ever be in Avery Island, LA. I would like to stop by and see their 150 year old history and tour the facility. On this tour you learn everything about how Tabasco sauce is made and how long it takes to make it. The country store offers many items that are branded Tabasco. In addition the staff is very generous in letting their guests taste all the Tabasco , vegetables, ice Creme and soda. The staff is very friendly and parking is plentiful.

After moving away I could always count on them to ship my phone or online orders for pocket knives on time for gifts or personal use.
