Travers story  -  Banks is like his namesake in Mary Poppins ; has similar character traits - he neglects his projects as did Banks his children .Thus the cracks appear, bubbles rise exposing veneer of the shallow coats of his care - you need a firm Mary Poppins to manage this Banks should you engage him - or you will end up with many paint spots that unlike chalk pictures  can't be removed from stone pavements - Personally there is no saving this Mr Banks but my rating might save you !! He is as charming and engaging as a dealer at a horse fair, not the merry-go-round .You will end up with a property like the Ascot Scene that is a triomphe de l'oeil though Beaton's work has lasted the test of time - I ponder- will 36 Halsey Street  ? Watch this house - as Mr Banks moves to his next house and leaves his horrors of attention to detail and the world of a one coat wonders - start at the chimney pots not with the panash of Dick van Dyke . I met Dene for the first time when he came out and did the quote and he told me that he was very experienced in this line of work as he had been doing it since 1987! This reassured me that I had made the right decision for choosing this company to do my work. When Dene turned up, he started work straight away without no fussing and got on and did the job. I knew that what I was asking would be a challenge as I had asked Dene to paint my walls and ceilings and I also had a lot of old wood work which needed to be doing as well. I was surprised that he managed to get the woodwork from a yellow color to a bright white color, I thought that would have been impossible! When Dene had finished it looked astounding, I would recommend him to anyone.

The customer service at Avon Ruby leaves a lot to be desired. We had a Megaflo installed by them,…read morewhich never really worked properly and people were either in scolding hot showers, or freezing cold showers. I repeatedly asked them to attend site with the electricians to try and work out what has happened and why, and to find a solution for it to be fixed, and their constant response was that its nothing to do with them, and an email explaining why should be sufficient. Despite my saying that I would pay for the call out and it required both parties to be on site, as they were passing the blame off on to each other. Since writing a review showing them in a negative light, and reflective of my experience with them to date, they have now agreed to attend site. After weeks of me trying to get them to do so. Which is ironic as if they had agreed to do so in the beginning, my experience with them would have been much more favourable and I would have had no reason to leave such a review...but alas. I am yet to see whether the fundamental issue is due to works of theirs, or another party, but based on their customer service alone I would not recommend Avon Ruby.

They did…read morenot rectify the problems, in fact when we opened up the flooring again we found their lunch and litter waste, around 100kg of rubble they were meant to have disposed of they charged for it, and the original problem never went away. Four years on, we are still trying to resolve all the damage these guys did. They will not take responsibility, in fact they won't even answer the calls to our insurance company. The rottweiler that answers the phone is a nightmare. She's very rude and unhelpful. Please please do not suffer the way we have had to. Simple building work is fine, but do not use them for anything that requires specialist attention.
