If 0 * were an option, that would be my choice. For a dentist who was highly recommended & claims to specialize in "comfort dentistry" and "anxiety" he was absolutely dismissive & nonchalant with the level of anxiety I experience, stemming from 3 prior traumatic experiences as a child/young adult. My previous dentist of 15 YRS retired & sold his practice. Finding a dentist who can accommodate severe anxiety is a challenge. After discussing sedation at the consult for the appt, they did not even come close to this, then refused to discuss a treatment plan b/c I was sedated ?!? (He & his staff both stated I did not look calm or relaxed!) He stated AFTER the fact that he was not comfortable treating me. Why waist my time & money? I took a whole day of work for nothing! They performed additional scans to determine a treatment plan, w/out discussing additional costs, eating away at my insurance coverage, or that they may not even be covered by my insurance, made us wait over 1 1/2 hours to discuss, which never happened & we left. Why do this if you are unwilling to handle what is needed for the appt? Left several msgs & never received a return call! The reason, they claim ... they were waiting for my insurance to make a decision ?!? Ultimately holding my records/scans hostage for a new dentist, willing to handle what I need for anxiety until the unpaid insurance balance was paid w/out even informing me! Very disappointing and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! read more
