    Needed to change auto insurance a few months back because my previous insurance company did not…read moreoffer a product I needed. The initial process was great - got a quote and coverage was in effect within a day. Over 2 weeks ago I needed to add an auto to my policy. I called the office on a weekend and was routed to the State Farm customer service reps. They added the vehicle at that time according to the customer sales rep and I went about my day. A few days ago I needed to make a change to my policy and logged in online to find out that the new car was not yet listed so called State Farm again and was informed I had "coverage" but the policy has not been written yet. I was a little surprised that in over 2 weeks they have not been able to complete an auto insurance policy? It was the weekend so naturally the agent's office was closed. I submitted a contact request that day to Tom Mclaughlin, Saturday 8/04, online through his form on State Farm's website. I additionally emailed an employee in his office this morning (08/06) at 7:30am and requested a read receipt which I received notice the email had been opened. The email expressed concern about the time it has taken for this policy addition and the need to edit some details on the new vehicle. I requested someone to please reach out to me and let me know why it is taking so long and if there is a problem - should I find coverage elsewhere and how would I go about cancelling the policy? It is 3:00PM now and haven't heard a peep from anyone at State Farm regarding this nor Tom's office. Very concerning the lack of response and makes me wary about what a possible claim would go like. At this time cannot recommend this company/office as a reliable insurance solution. The pricing and products are attractive - but are worthless without service.

    Theft of Service. I was involved in a accident where the other party accepted Liability for the…read moreclaim, however I had already started a claim through State Farm. After many hours on the phone with the claims service getting nowhere fast, I called Geza. Trouble was as a direct result of the accident my tire sidewall was damaged and the tire size was discontinued for the 16.5 " rims on my 4x4 truck. My rims and tires were fine before the accident, all purchased at the same time, all matching, all rotated, critical on 4X4's where they must all match. State Farm was stead fast on offering money based on 5 year old pricing... What the hell right ! I didn't cause the accident. A check dosen't buy something now which is isn't available more over on out dated pricing. Geza, and many other supervisors said yea your right but its not our problem. So with that being said I can't return my vehicle, which had full coverage mind you to pre-accident condition. Good ethics would dictate 4 new rims and tires comparable to what was there. Fair right ? Not with the crooks at State Farm. they want to engage in unfair unethical business practices. Take your business elsewhere cause these dirt merchants care only about the bottom line. Now I am forced to pay for the repairs up front and then take them to court. Way to go for hitting me over the head. Im leaving this here and contacting the New Jersey Division of Banking and Insurance and formally complaining on the grounds of theft of service and failure to return a clients vehicle to pre-accident condition.
