It is bittersweet that my final child will be graduating in just a couple years! I have never been disappointed with the excellent education that my children have earned, that has been provided to them. There were a few staff members that we weren't/aren't pleased with, but, it taught my kids to work through adversity and to fight for their rights as young adults. If you are engaged in your child's life, they will learn more, get in far less trouble and excel in the opportunities that a public school education offers.

I do not recommend…read morethis school due to multiple serious concerns: Safety Incident: In September 2024, two men were caught shooting in the woods right next to the school. Heavy police presence followed. It was very frightening. PE Injury: During a game called "Zookeeper," my son was knocked down and injured by a pool noodle. The PE teacher, Hannah Lane, and principal, Colleen Wilkinson, were unresponsive when I reported it. Denied Lunch: My son was denied a free lunch when he forgot his lunchbox. Another child was also denied. Principal Colleen Wilkinson took no action after I reported it. Limited Trust: Because of these incidents, I never allowed my child to participate in field trips and kept my involvement minimal. Transfer: I ultimately transferred my child to a different school for first grade. Overall, this school does not provide a safe or supportive environment for children.

This is the second year my children have attended INPA and my kids enjoy the curriculum and programs offered at this school. I have encountered many loving and caring teachers that genuinely love educating children. Innovation Prepatory Academy recently achieved an "A Rating". I have a 12 year old girl and a 9 year old boy. The majority of the work is completed using technology (iPads), but computers are the way of future! The majority of the children attending this school come from a higher socioeconomic background as it's located in one of the safest and family oriented suburbs (Wesley Chapel) of Tampa, Florida. Nowhere is perfect, as teacher retention for a couple classes has been an issue but that being said there are many longstanding tenured teachers on staff that make an invaluable contribution to the school learning environment. No school can please everyone, but I would recommend going for a tour of the school before basing your decision on the negative reviews on this page. It's too bad that people always put comments when they are unhappy, but the happy parents/students never take the time to leave positive reviews. My children have enjoyed their experience thus far!
