Diana was an amazing doula for my wife and me. It's really difficult to find the words that…read moreadequately describe the impact Diana had on our experience at the hospital, the day of our son's birth. We had an unusually fast pre-birth experience which through us into a frenzy of all sorts. Diana was there for us when we really needed a calming presence, rational guidance, and an advocate. If that wasn't enough, she is also an amazing photographer and was able to collect images and videos that captured so many details we wouldn't otherwise have had. She was also extremely helpful with postpartum guidance and encouraged us to focus on the important things, while letting us know that most of what we were experiencing was completely normal. A comforting notion when you're feeling overwhelmed with the anticipated, yet impossible to know until you're there, responsibilities of being a first time parent. I can't imagine a better doula to have by your side.

We absolutely loved having Diana as our doula for both of our children. She was an absolute joy and the best choice we ever could have made when it came to birthing our children as naturally as possible.

I didn't apply to the preschool but to the K-12 school but this school has problems. Apparently if…read moreyou are ahead or behind of their curriculum in one subject or something then you can't go here. I took Geometry in the 9th grade and was not allowed to take Algebra 2 in the 10th grade because only the upperclassmen are allowed to take it. Many kids are accelerated in school or behind so if you can't accommodate then that is a problem.

I am a parent of a 3 year old, and was looking for a daycare to sign him up with. As I searched, I…read morecame across Elfers and decided to schedule a tour. Before we even moved forward with the tour, the lady that received us (short salt/pepper hair) asked quite a bit of questions. As we walked, I gave as much info about my son. I do this so that my son is accurately described and welcomed. I have to say, that after I mentioned that my son was on the spectrum and he would have a therapist visit him, not only did her face change, but the tone in her lack of communication. As much as she tried to continue the conversations, for the sake of the tour, she had already pre-judged by son and decided in her mind that my son would not be "the best fit" for their "christian" preschool. I quote christian bc I am a Christian myself, and the way she carried herself was not welcoming and carried a discriminatory feel. Many parents will say, and have said, that the daycare is great......but other than that "one" child she mentioned to me that had autism in their school, there is a lack in knowledge, accpetance, and communication skills. They definitely need to be trained, welcoming, and open-minded to the vast majority of our beautiful kids on the spectrum(or any other child with a diagnosis).
