She said we're really busy and she seemed to be in a real rush. There's only two of us here. I told her I wanted to cut. She asked me if she had to shampoo it and I said yes. After the I've ever had in my life by a cut it in less than five minutes and I said you're already done and she said yes do you want it and I said which I was shocked I had to say yes to she blew dry it. The whole thing was done the cut shampoo and blow dry all within 15 minutes and at the end, when she showed me the outcome, I was flabbergasted. It was terrible. My hair was still damp. It was still frizzy and not straight from the blow dry and the bangs were like turned onward. I told her I wanted them straight or to the side and they were too short for that she did a terrible job. I will never go back there again and I never should've tipped her. I did that only because I feel like rude not to tip people, but I tip much less than I normally would, but I was completely disappointed and shocked. I've never had such a poor cut or been rushed so much in my entire life I will never go back to that place.

Aaaand I'm a gay Jew. Yeah. Doubly blessed. What that means is I have a curly mop of hair that at its best can make me look like your cute, disheveled mad scientist and at its worst, like I stuck my finger in a light socket. If my hair gets too long, I look like Jesus (thin curly hair doesn't lengthen well). If I brush it, it becomes a Jew fro. If it's too short...well I'm already a stereotype. I've let hair stylists have their way with me because frankly, i gave up. I've had some interesting asymmetric haircuts (think flock of seagulls). But Kristin has managed to manage my hair. And she does it in a no fuss, uncomplicated, friendly way you wish every lady in your life could be! No, but seriously, she tamed the fro. I don't hate my hair. I even like it.

The salon has a wonderful vibe and esthetic for young women to discover their style and explore different hairstyles. The people who work there are friendly and welcoming. They pay attention to each customer's specific needs, making sure to care for them in a way that feels comfortable and easy so they can be themselves. Every time my daughter has an appointment she leaves feeling so good about herself, and is so happy - this is a such a gift! The appointment scheduling is easy, and they do text appointment reminders and confirmations, and it is easy to reschedule if needed. The prices are the average of what one would pay anywhere for hair services...they definitely are not more expensive than other places. The only slightly negative thing is they do seem to recommend a lot of hair products...and at our last visit...they recommended $150 worth of products...and one product...a small bottle of some kind of styling gel was $53 by itself. This seems a bit excessive. When I declined to purchase, there was no attitude or pressure to reconsider....Thank goodness!

That said - this facility is amazing. It is a beautiful new building with all the amenities you could want at a salon. They have a beautiful waiting area with a full line of products. They have a nice receptionist who will offer you coffee, tea, water or even wine - all complimentary- upon arrival. Now - on to the point of my review. I have been going to see Aimee Daniel for my hair upkeep for just over 3 years now. And, frankly - my hair has never looked better. The reality is that I can't tell a hair stylist what it is I'm looking for because I don't know how to ask. But, as I've built a relationship with Aimee, she has learned what I like and don't like. And, I have built a level of trust with her where I can honestly say - you do what you think is best. And, I know that when I leave, I will feel great about my hair and how it looks. I truly wish I could have her "do" my hair every day - because it always looks best when she does it. In addition to great hair cuts - she has also been giving me highlights - which is no easy task when you have dark brown hair like I do. She has figured out how to get blond throughout - and how to keep it from turning orange with time. It's truly wonderful. And, FYI - she is a blond expert, so if you have or want blond hair and are looking for someone to give you your best blond - visit Aimee! She will not disappoint you!

Also, the salon itself (Eunoia Salon) is stunning! The vibe is warm, inviting, and very calm. I especially enjoyed the sink area in the back. It's a CLEAN salon that is stunningly appointed.
