I have had a 34+ year career as an R.N. in multiple settings, including rehab/nsg. settings like Wright's. I routinely was responsible medication administration for sixty residents (and 1 time 120!) . The nurse/resident ratio here is less than half of the norm and consequently are able to see changes in residents and intervene before the small issues become big. As far as the "slacker staff" not being 'properly supervised', it's actually the opposite...PLUS, there is a 'Resident's Council ' in place and residents are free to voice any concerns related to their care with the assurance of both confidentiality AND follow up! In the 20-30 facilities I have experienced, this was either 'lip service' or non-existent. I won't address 'discouraging visitors' 5 star

Assigned CNA sat in dining room behind door so cameras would not see her as usual, ignoring residents and her duties. A CNA from the other end of building heard/found resident who happened to fall out of bed and broke her hip). Sean in kitchen does not wear a hair net, against FL rules. and never wear gloves, wash his hands etc. Bed bugs rampant throughout building. CNA P.... Who was bitten several times sleeping on her 11-7 shift in the small kitchen and other employees addressed this problem and trapped bed bugs in zip lock baggies given to administration, no action taken to rid bed bugs, black ants, cockroaches etc. especially bed bugs. An employee bringing in bed bugs the past year is still employed. Gross!Dirty, old, run down facility with SERIOUS plumbing problems Resindents personal laundry sent to Oak Manor CONSTANTLY gets lost, never found. Daily, CNAs in cars or on phone sitting in building. No attention to residents, ask rm 18. (Example) No Level 2 fingerprint background checks done on new hires which is required by Florida guidelines. Security system in building and air conditioning constantly breaks down. Etc Etc. PS. Resident Council is a waste of their time and energy. Monthly they address their concerns/requests with no follow through by administration

She is professional, helps him feel comfortable, and is able to get him to follow instructions. She makes a consistent effort to feed, clean, and exercise with him, and includes both mental and physical activities. She is self‑motivated, hardworking, and needs only minimal guidance to meet our needs. She is truly an asset to BrightStar. Our other regular caregiver is Honesty, and we are very happy with her as well. She has worked hard to gain my dad's trust, which makes it much easier for her to help him. She is great with all aspects of the job: she cleans, cooks, does laundry, and communicates well. We've seen her improve over time, and both my wife, Kathleen Sloan, and I are very satisfied with her service. We hope to have her as a regular caregiver in the future.

I am reviews on my father's caregivers: Honesty Pugh works 1-2 shifts a week since Feb 2026. While she's young, she is very mature for her age and listens to feedback. She has gained the trust of my father. She has a special way about her that is calming. She's able to get him to walk and or sit outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. She has learned his "tells" so it makes it easier for her. She cleans his room, fills his drink tumblers and ensures he eats. She's never afraid to ask questions. Crystal Antonio-Vega is another caregiver working 2 shifts a week. She too started this past spring. She was amazing from the minute she walked in the door. She gets to work until its done. She is so conscientious and diligent with cleaning his room, laundry, having him exercise, and making sure he has good hygene. She also does an excellent job of keeping him engaged during the day so he will sleep better. Ayrianna Doughtry's demeanor is calm, pleasant, and caring. I couldn't walk or hardly move and didn't know what was going on but I was overwhelmed with how caring and encouraging the staff was. With the help of nurses like "Cat" and Dakota dispensing my medications and IV antibiotics every 6 hours and the Physical therapy team headed by Jennifer I am getting better The genuine caring and helpful staff led by Wanda the concierge and the activities set up by Nicole to help pass the time as well as the 3 really good meals a day have made this experience bearable and at times even enjoyable Even the administrator Erin went out of her way to help me with a personal issue I am now walking on my own and am set to leave in a few weeks. Although most of the people who work here seem very nice, this facility is definitely falling down…read morearound itself. I feel like that it's not as clean as what it could be. I don't feel like it's as safe as what it could be and I don't feel like the people there are as attentive to the people who are Residence as they need to be. It's not a place that I would wanna put one of my loved ones, and if I had my choice, my aunt who is there would be moved immediately.

Calls go unanswered. Scott McGee is a social services coordinator at this facility. When you share these concerns, he asks if you want to file a grievance. Then, the director of the facility will call you and try to get the details. These grievances stay in house and Scott McGee is derelict in his job responsibilities.
