We stopped by Wendy's after a rodeo, just hoping for a quick, comforting bite before our hour-long drive home. It was 9:20 PM--40 minutes before closing--so we thought we'd be walking into something familiar... something dependable. Instead, it felt like stepping into a memory that was quietly disappearing. Wendy's has never just been a fast-food place to me. It's woven into some of the happiest, simplest moments of my life. After high school football games, it was where we all went--laughing, replaying the night, sharing fries, and always ending it with a chocolate Frosty. Those nights felt endless back then, full of friendship and joy. Even before that, my very first Wendy's was just outside our neighborhood. My siblings, my friends--we would walk there together, just for Frostys. No phones, no distractions--just pure, simple happiness. It's one of the most cherished memories of my childhood. So walking into this location... and seeing it like this... honestly hurt. The place was completely empty except for three teenagers working. When we tried to order, we were told there were no Frostys. No chili. They had already started shutting everything down because it was "close to closing." At 9:20 PM. A Wendy's... without Frostys. It sounds small, but in that moment, it felt like something much bigger was missing. Like a piece of those memories--those traditions--was just gone. The service felt indifferent, the food we did get was poor, and the entire experience carried this quiet sense of neglect. Not just of the restaurant, but of what it used to represent. It's devastating to see a place that once meant so much--full of life, laughter, and connection--reduced to this. Places like Wendy's aren't just about food. Well, after seeing the current rating, I'm not surprised at my experience tonight. Stopped in on our way home after the rodeo for some frosty treats and a little food before the trip home about an hour away. It was 9:20PM...they didn't have frostys or chili (two of our normal go to's at Wendy's)...they had already started cleaning the machines. I'm not sure the owner would be okay with them not having food to sell to the customers 40 minutes before close. The saddest part is even as I'm writing this I know and expect nothing will be done to correct this horrible customer service. read more

The service up there is horrible. The food is always cold. There's a lady named Jasmine. She's always rude. Always yelling at the kids even the customer is giving attitude, slamming burgers down. This place is horrible and I've been in Sulphur Springs my whole life. I'm very disappointed this place needs to be shut down. read more

Anytime I order on doordash they accept the order and then when my dasher gets there before close, they are always closed. I'm tired of having to get my money back after waiting for my food to arrive. Also when I go thru the drive thru they usually have issues, one time they told me to pull up but then said they needed me to come inside to pay because they forgot before they had me move, so what was the point of going in the drive thru. read more

Yes, Really. 5 stars for a Wendy's. Here's why: Easy to find as you come near it during day or night. Plenty of parking for whatever you are driving (be it Motor Coach or Cooper Mini). The place is of the newer design with conversation pit/lounge area for laptops, great looking wood grained floors, modern lighting, big screen with news and travel info, and multiple types of seating. The well kept bathrooms are quite nice! The service and staff were very friendly and took a lot of pride in their work. Quality people is a big plus! And of course the food is next. You taste and see the quality in the food. I had a taco salad and my guest had the Southwest salad and a chili. The greens were crisp, fresh and cold. The rest of the ingredients were perfect in color, temperature, and flavor. I'm proud to let that well made tasty taco salad go to my waist! The price is very reasonable for all of that. read more

Went in to set down at around 10:40 am. Received food at 11:00 after asking how much longer and then the shit was cold.

A quick stop for lunch on thd way home from east Texas. No surprises and there was a big lot in the back for us to park our RV, run in, and take a break. The staff was very friendly and prompt in taking our order. We were back on the road in no time! read more

This particular location is the worst. Always something wrong with the order and food is hit or miss if it's even hot. Decided to give one last try and asked for a burger with no mayo... and of course it had Mayo on it. It's beyond frustrating. read more

Poor service! Ordered from door dash and ordered Taco Salad. No chili arrived. Called restaurant to complain and manager said I could drive and pick it up. I am taking care if a disabled husband which is why I ordered Door Dash. When I informed the manager the reason I couldn't he hung up on me. Very poor service!!! read more

Horrible customer service. I spent 45 min in the drive thru with only 6 cars ahead of me and 20 min at the main window for my food. I was told they only had buns for the burgers and were out of large patties. The food was cold, we won't be going back. read more

Not like Wendy's I used to know. Not a good value. $5+ for a 1/2 salad that was nearly all lettuce and VERY LITTLE meat. The chili was VER WATERY, not thick and meaty like it used to be. I drank it from the cup. read more

You had a Wendy's in Sulphur Springs years ago, it closed, Then you got a new one here, I was so excited, I love Wendy's, But it wasnt long and things started going south again, soda machines not working, Ketchup dispenser empty ect. My wife and I decided to stop at Wendy's Sunday night after church. (7:00 pm, 3 hours before closing). My wife ordered a ranch chicken wrap. we waited and waited and after 15 minutes, I finally got up and asked about our order, they said we are starting it now, they had to take care of the drive thru first. There was only a few little chunks of chicken (there bowl was empty) so thats what she got, I wanted Chili, but they did'nt have any because they were cleaning up to close. (3hours early) The guy didnt know how to wrap the wrap so the manager or whoever she was ended her personal phone call (which she was on from the time we got there) and wrapped it with the 6 or so little chunks of meat. needless to say after one bite, my with threw the rest away. The fries were cold and of course the soda machine still does not work. I really hate to say it, but we have taken Wendy's off of our places to go. If Wendy's in Sulphur Springs close up again, we will not be surprised. And I believe it all goes back to POOR MANAGEMENT read more

Came in with my wife. Ordered a 'Big Bacon Cheddar Burger'. Was given a 'Classic Bacon Cheddar Chicken'. When my wife complained they said that the classic was a chicken sandwich. Which would be great if I had ever said 'Classic'. Then they told her that if we wanted the other burger that we would have to pay for it. So when I went to the counter to order I asked for the burger by name and number again. They asked if I wanted the meal! They just sold me the wrong meal! Are these guys on commission or something? They refuse to help then say 'people make mistakes' when I complain after they said it was my fault. What a horrible place. Do not go here. they're rude and incompetent. read more

Lousy service. Ordered several burgers along with fries and not even one pack of ketchup was provided. From what I know, fries are meant to be eaten with ketchup. Also, the customer service and attitude is not only questionable but TERRIBLE. This was my first and definitely my last time stepping foot in that place. read more

It's Wendy's! Food is as expected, love the frosties. The facility is nice and new. They sometimes have specials, so you can get lot of food for a low price here. Folks seem to really like it here! read more
