Bad location! Service could be better. People in parking lot doing shady stuff. Good food as usual.

I don't write reviews when I'm just mildly annoyed. I write them when something feels off in a way that shouldn't be normal. This visit to Wendy's happened right after we moved into our new apartment. We were in that in-between phase -- boxes everywhere, dishes packed, zero desire to cook. I needed something quick, affordable, and predictable. That's usually where Wendy's comes in. Ordering was simple. A couple of Biggie deals. A Coke with no ice. And one custom drink for my son -- since they didn't have Fanta and he doesn't really drink flat juice, I asked if they could do half Sprite and half juice to make it bubbly. They listed the juice options, I clarified what I meant, and they agreed. At the pickup window, things shifted. When I pulled forward, the employees were mid-conversation and didn't acknowledge me for a bit. Not a huge deal -- but noticeable. Then they handed me two half-Sprite/half-juice drinks. I calmly said, "I'm so sorry -- I only needed one of those. The other was supposed to be a Coke with no ice." They looked at each other. One visibly rolled her eyes. They took the drinks back without saying anything and shut the window. That moment was the problem. No clarification. No "got it." No correction with professionalism. Just attitude. And here's the part that bothered me most: I realized I had apologized for correcting their mistake. That didn't sit right. I hadn't been rude. I hadn't been demanding. I hadn't even paid yet. There's no reason a basic order clarification should feel tense. So I left. This wasn't about soda. It was about tone. Fast food doesn't have to feel like friction. It's supposed to be quick, efficient, neutral at minimum. Instead, the energy felt irritated and dismissive. If management is setting that tone at the window, that's bigger than a drink mix-up. Parking was easy. The drive-thru line wasn't long. The issue wasn't speed -- it was service presence. I'll come back when the atmosphere feels more professional. I've always been a fan of Wendy's - their chili, their Baconator, their baked potatoes, their frosty's! Come on! My family and I stopped by for dinner tonight to check out their Wendy's x Wednesday promo special called Meal of Misfortune which consisted of "Rest in 10-Piece" nuggets, small "Cursed & Crispy" fries, a new Frosty flavor called "Raven's Blood" and "Dips of Dread" mystery sauces. Their spicy chicken nuggets with the deep purple/almost black dipping sauce paired really well together - it was sweet and spicy! I enjoyed the frosty as well - I believe it was a black cherry flavor! Staff were friendly at the drive thru line and our food came out quickly. I can't comment on their ambiance since we did not go inside, but I really liked the marketing and collaboration in all of the Wednesday details. I dunno why Wendy's gets such bad review, my experience here and at other locations have been fine, without problems. I was thinking I need me some lunch, so I got online and found this location and ordered lunch. I'm a mamber of the club so I get access to various deals of the day. Today I get a deal for a Double Stacker for just $1.00 with other purchase. Me, looking for the best deal, I ordered the cheapest item I could to get the discount and that was a junior order of fried for less than $2.00. The double stacker burger was normally $3.00. My whole order was just $3.00 after the discount. Online you can customize your burger with a lot of stuff for FREE! Like extra, Lettuce, tomato, onion, catsup, mayo and mustard. That bulks up this burger a lot. The fries were nice and hot and crispy as the burger was just made as I got to the counter. I ordered online and paid online too. This works pretty slick! read more

Oh my goodness! It was my first time going here. And it made me feel really uncomfortable when there were alot of people loitering outside the building smoking weed/Cigarettes. Also, I ordered a caramel crunch frosty. We weren't even half way home and my frosty was already all melted and we live just around the corner. I'm from the south so I miss gravy and biscuits. Wendy's gravy and biscuits is an absolute treat for me in the mornings along with their coffee. If you want gravy and biscuits don't go spend a lot at a diner when it's cheaper and better here. The coffee is also a lot better in my opinion than other fast food chains or even Starbucks... no lingering aftertaste. We usually DoorDash this when we are in the mood the order comes from the Meadowview location. The bag is always sealed the cups are covered with tape and they put just the right amount of cream in the coffee. All in all it's a good value and yummy breakfast. read more

Wendy's continues to offer great food at reasonable prices! Visited this location last week. Our burgers did not disappoint and of course the fries and frosts were also delish! Ordered a Chili to go on the app for hubby and it seemed like it was taking too long so I went up to the counter and gave cashier/manager my name. She immediately prepared the chili order. I started to tell her that I had already ordered and so it should already be ready to go but she stopped me saying that when it comes to the chili they don't dish it up until you arrive because they don't want anyone complaining about cold chili. I came in yesterday to take advantage of the three dollar deal on the "son of baconator" It's basically a double cheeseburger with bacon so thin that you can see through it. Just kidding... it's screaming you hate working there because the lack of management that taught you anything in customer service. Where are the role models, if they're not held accountable for her Resting .. (fill in the gap) ... Terrible customer service; stood at the counter for several minutes until I cleared my throat loudly in order to get assistance. Woman came to the register and as I gave her my first order she didn't put it in the computer. I asked for no onions. She didn't begin putting the order into the computer until I began my third order. She was short and not communicative. The lobby was dirty. The burger still came with onions. Ah, Wendy's, my reluctant go-to, thanks to its proximity to school. This is my least favorite Wendy's and does not compare to others. This location is more like my "test your patience" food. The drive-thru moves at a turtle pace, even when few people are waiting. I've aged waiting for my order. Staff moods swing wildly - it's like emotional roulette every visit. And the fries? Let's just say "fresh, never frozen" doesn't apply here. They've mastered the art of serving lukewarm potato sticks. Why do I return? Location, location, location. And maybe a dash of masochism. On may 8th 2025 around 9:14am Went through the drive thru and got charged and had to wait in the parking lot for 10mins for my food. This had to be the slowest drive-up I have EVER experienced. It took so long. If there wasn't cars behind me - I DEFINITELY would have backed out and left. I was in kind of a hurry and they obviously were NOT. This gives a whole new meaning to fast food. But the person working the window was nice. He was friendly and thanked me, but never apologized for the agonizing wait. My Baconater was SOOOOO disappointing. Have a look at the pictures. it wasn't hot and didn't look a thing like the picture. Dave Thomas would be ashamed. The fries were not hot either and the large Diet Coke was normal. Naturally I got a LARGE Meal. It cost more than $15. I was starving and in a hurry as I said. So I ate while I was driving and didn't have time to go back and complain. And to make matters worse, they did not give me a receipt (Which seems to be the new norm) so I'm SOL. The service was horrible before I even got to order. My husband and I sat at the register waiting to be greeted and helped for 15 minutes. In that time we watched crew members on their personal phones. Also making jokes in the back while one woman made food and did drive thru, and then the worst of all happened. We saw a crew member walk up from the back DIG IN HIS MOUTH WITH A GLOVE ON. He then touched food items in the drive thru before taking the gloves off and walked to the back again. continuous horrible service. just went there today and half of the staff were high on something. repeating themselves, slurring words and got my order wrong. ordered two double baconators. paid for 2 double backnators. only got daves doubles. almost a whole $7.00 difference in meal price. when i went in to get my order remade, they refused and only wanted to give me an extra french fry to "compensate" for the price. the floors are notoriously dirty, the bathroom is rancid and stinks. there is always homeless or tweakers outside soliciting and harassing you for food or money. the parking lot is horribly dirty with pee stains and fecal matter on the walls to the restaurant by the drive-through bushes. all of the workers at location 4320 watt ave sacramento ca. 95660 are only there for the paycheck and only have a "nice" or "good" attitude is because the job is so "easy" going. as soon as one of the workers are inconvenienced with even the slightest proble, especially one from a customer, they shut down. become irrate and tell you to "leave" or "go someplace else" can not and will not go back. to any wendys for that matter. couldn't pay me $1,000,000 with a ten foot pole to even touch their parking lot with another ten foot pole. read more

Great service on this hot Friday afternoon. The employees working the counter were very friendly and within a couple of minutes I had my order prepared exactly as requested. I used Wendy's app for this order, and all worked great. The fish sandwich was one of the best I've had in many years. Fresh, hot, great tasting, and well prepared. This location is absolutely filthy and disgusting. The drink machine is caked in layers of greasy mess and no lids, straws, utensils, or anything else was stocked in the dining room. 2 weeks ago today..I had the worst experience with a manager at this location. The lobby was closed at 6pm there were 2 employees in the lobby. I knocked on the window once. Then a 2nd time and waved the employee to come open the door to find out why it's closed. It was a 90°Day and I walked all the way there from the light rail. He opens the door and says it's closed. I asked why, their website states its supposed to be open. I asked for the manager. She said with attitude I had him close it because I'm short staffed. I said why wouldn't you place a sign or something so customers know. She replies "I usually do, give me a break I forget....so you gonna order food or what". I said absolutely not, but I would like your corporate office # and your name please. She goes to the back for 10 mins and sends another employee to tell me she doesn't have corporates #. I asked okay can I get the managers name. The employee goes to ask the manager again. The manager comes back out the office 5 mins later with a box in hand. And just staring at me. I asked can I get her name again 3 time now. She says No I'm not going to give you my name. I said your the manager on duty and your not going to provide your name. She said I said No and takes a cell phone call right in my face and walked away as if I wasn't standing there. I was appalled that I was being treated like that by a manager. I wasn't being smart, loud, cussing and simply wanted clarity. And really sad part is I've contacted corporate office as of today 4 times, 2 different cases created because I received no return call as of yet from anyone from Wendy's. I've worked McDonald's & Burger King and NEVER have I witness such disrespectful actions from a manager. Absolutely no care or accountability on her behaved. Better yet she got mad at me because I pointed out common sense items such as...how am I suppose to know your lobby is closed if I see employees in the lobby no customers around nor a sign stating what's going on. Wendy's needs to train their staff, especially the managers at this location. Looking at some of these reviews this isn't the 1st they have closed without notice. Fyi, if the employee takes your order wrong, all you'll get from Wendy's is an apology letter and maybe they'll fix your order (if you want to drive home and drive all the way back to correct a mistake THEY made). I ordered a large combo for the baconator and double sized. and i received some random burger with double cheese and lettuce and pickles. My receipt doesn't even state what kind of burger this is?? There wasn't even a line in the drive-thru when I arrived, how do you mess up when you have hardly any customers?? Full disclosure, I'm hangry. I ordered 3 items from this location, a meal, a single patty, and a salad. Get to the window to get our food and they forgot the patty...no big deal, we added it at the last minute when paying. They had it but forgot to put it in the bag. At this point everything is still all gravy. I get to where I'll be eating my salad and it's not what I ordered. It's like when you buy something but it's not quite the real deal...more like a knock off, enough to pass buy it ain't what it ain't. My southwest salad was to have tomatoes, bacon, grilled chicken, avocado, pepper Jack cheese and jalapeños. I got lettuce, avocado, enough bacon for one bite and mozzarella cheese. I see him once a week (sometimes twice lol) and he is so kind and professional. He always has a smile, and always gets my order right. He consistently gives excellent customer service. No customer service what so ever! We spent the day at Sunsplash and we were heading home when we drove by Wendy's and saw the sign for a strawberry frosty. The kids were so excited so we pulled in the parking lot, the drive through line was long so my husband went in. He returned to the car empty handed and with disappointed children. He explained after entering the lobby there were about 6 employees standing around chatting, there were two others working on an ice machine. There were other customers waiting to be greeted. Finally my husband asked if he could place and order and was ignored. Someone a minute later said we'll be with you in a minute, turned away and started chatting with coworkers again. My husband decided to leave and so did the other customers! Looks like there is no leadership or there is lack of training. You would think that businesses that would like to stay open would be willing to help customers. We are trying the Wendy's down the street but have been sitting in the drive thru for about 10 minutes. Seems that this location has received all of there customers!
