The Monday special for today (Monday) is the build your own bowl of the day. You choose the ingredients - all different, or double up on the ones you love best. Can't go wrong with this! And the Ranch dressing was awesome! Very garlic and dill! The server was patient with us, which we appreciated, and helped ease things along by making suggestions. The setting is a bit like a subway sandwich bar, where you order at the counter and wait for your order. This gives it a fast food chain feeling. It had some low chairs at tables, and some high cafe chairs against the counter along the wall and windows. We were alone when we started, but it got quite busy!! I wish some soups had been on display (although I was happy with what I got), and that the seating had been a tad more comfortable. We never did find out what the wifi password is; something to add for next time. Can't wait to go back!!

It might have been just the Buddha's Bowl itself because my husband's Oaxaca Bowl portions were much more generous than mine. The entire contents of the bowl did not fill up even half of the bowl. Other than that, friendly cashier.

There was a bit of a lineup when we got there for lunch on their 2nd day of operation. The inside is not huge, but there are 4-5 tables also located outside. And it gets very loud inside with all these hungry people!! It smells really good in here, too!! They've even got a drive through, and they're doing a booming business!! The food was very good; the fries were salty and the sauce was saltier. We added coleslaw to our feast for 2; no idea why there wasn't any included in our "feast". The chicken was juicy and tender (could've been hotter), and even the wings were good. I loved the coating, but the backs, which looked like the bigger pieces, didn't actually have a lot of meat on them. Mary Brown's doesn't offer a lot of variety in the diet pop department, which is ok, considering they offer fried chicken. However, there's currently a lot of "Zero" calories pop out there for the choosing, these days. I will definitely be back!!

I ordered directly from KFC's website, not through SkipTheDishes, and selected "Hand it to me"…read morebecause I live downtown and didn't want it left outside. Despite this, the site marked it as delivered--but no one came, and my security cameras confirmed it. Ten minutes later, SkipTheDishes called (even though I didn't order from them), saying the driver couldn't reach me. I had received no calls or knocks. I called KFC after 75 minutes, and the manager insisted it was left at my door. I explained I had camera footage and had selected "hand it to me." She argued, refused to accept proof, and hung up on me. No apology--just said not to order again. 2 hours after ordering, cold food arrived: rubbery fries, soggy chicken, all drumsticks, no gravy on the poutine. KFC used SkipTheDishes without consent, ignored delivery instructions, then blamed me for their mistake. Horrible service and worse food.

First of all, the place is stuffy and has a stenchy, sticky feel to tables, seating and ambience. We placed our order to the young curly-haired bloke behind the counter and waited about 15 minutes for the order to be completed. Roast beef sandwich and grilled chicken sandwich along with some fries. The good first: Fries were decent. Not great, just decent. Now for the not so good. The steak sandwich meat was tough and the tomatoes had dry edges, wilted and stringy lettuce that was not seasoned or dressed so tasted like newspaper (sitting too long?) The grilled chicken sub was abysmal. The meat was not seared, no grill taste at all, tasted more like fridge and had a telltale stench of day or two long storage. Given the price of $12 and $11 for a small size, the quality is lacklustre at best. Avoid this place, there are better options in Brockville.
